Working with Tony was great. We had seen his photography style before, and knew he took amazing candid/photojournalistic shots. So for our wedding, we told him what pictures we absolutely had to have, and then gave him free artistic rein.
Boy, are we pleased!! The results are amazing. I could not be happier with my wedding pictures, both posed and candid. When you plan something for so long, and you have a certain vision of what you'd like to see as the outcome, that places a *tiny* bit of pressure on your vendors. =)
Having such a responsive and friendly photographer was great. I received multiple comments on how amicable Tony was. Everyone noticed how enthusiastic he was about taking pictures, which in turn led to some great shots. =)
In regards to the photo package, he let us customize what we wanted, while giving us his recommendations. We decided upon a proof book (which we love!), a CD of all of our pictures, 12x12 wedding album, day after photo session, and of course, the 10-hour wedding day session.
I would highly recommend Tony Schreiber as a wedding photographer! =)
Taka from BeBuds was great to work with! His website has lots of pictures, so it was easy to pick out things I liked/disliked. We met in person twice (once for the initial meet/greet, and the 2nd time to finalize our plan).
Taka was extremely flexible and responsive. I ended up wanting to add/change a couple items mid-planning, and he easily accommodated my request while keeping within my original budget.
I absolutely ADORE flowers, so in my mind, I've always dreamed of having gorgeous, breathtaking flowers on my wedding day. Taka and BeBuds did NOT disappoint! The day of my wedding, I kept glancing down at my rose and cymbidium bouquet, since it was gorgeous. I know I'm a total dork, but I love flowers. =)
My sisters' two bouquets, the gazebo decorations, floral pomanders, the tall and low centerpieces, and cake decorations were beautiful. I would highly recommend BeBuds!!
(Please note: I have to caveat that the cost of the cake was included with my reception location, so I do not know how much it truly cost. But I did not want to penalize Torrance Bakery on the "value for cost" so I rated them 5 stars.)
Anyone in the (southern California) South Bay area knows about Torrance Bakery. They are famous for their cakes, and they did not disappoint. First, we thoroughly enjoyed our organized cake tasting appointment. We decided upon alternating layers for our 200+ guests wedding reception. We chose chocolate cake with raspberry mousse filling and white cake with lemon mousse filling. Those might sound like boring flavor selections, but the cake was delicious! The cake was nice and moist, while the fruit mousses were fruity (didn't taste like fake fruit) and sweet (but not too sweet). I had several people come up to me afterward telling me it was the most delicious wedding cake they have ever had! I consider that a pretty darn good compliment for Torrance Bakery. =)
In terms of logistics, the cake arrived on time, was in it's place when it needed to be, the ribbon I purchased was placed on the cake as instructed, layers were decorated as we had decided, so I have no complaints. My floral vendor had even told me previously that Torrance Bakery was never late, so he loved working with them, since he had to decorate the cake with fresh cymbidiums.
