About Me
My name is Cheryl Desere'e, friends call me Cher. I am happily married to a wonderful man named Jeff. We have been married for 9 years now, together we have a beautiful little girl named Leilani. We call her Leila. We live in Baltimore, Maryland, but both grew up in sunny southern California. Jeff is the jazz trombonist in the Army's top big band and we also own our own DJ business specializing in elegant weddings and events.
Kelly Ann is an absolute doll- a dream to work with. She is very prompt with her communication, which I really appreciated. The Sunset Restaurant is simply unbeatable for a beach wedding. Located directly on the sands of Zuma beach, it showcases SoCal's beauty with it's elegant but relaxed decor, friendly barstaff, and incredible views! It is also pretty secluded, certainly one of those gems known only by the locals!
The food was amazing as well and we continue to get rave reviews from our guests! Our only issue was that our meal was a full hour late and it was definitely a problem as we had many young children in attendance.
Overall, we had an amazing event, and I would book them again if I needed to. :-)
Tiffany Photography offers a very beautiful finished product and we are happy with what we have seen thus far. We are waiting for the remainder of our shots. :-) Tiffany was very pleasant and easy to work with the day of our wedding.
I don't even know where to begin! We were beyond pleased with The Flower Lab! From our first conversation to the day of our wedding Tweeny was a dream to work with- my favorite vendor by far. She was so patient and attentive with my many changes and emails and never seemed to be bothered.
My flowers were amazing! Her attention to detail, creative eye, and use of the freshest blooms were noticed by all! I especially appreciated the darling little extras of those pink ribbons with the starfish on them that were on the DJ table and also the extra bouquet for our guest table. I continue to get comments from guests as well as friends who could not make it telling me what a beautiful reception it was- all due to Tweeny! Her expertise regarding flowers and advice on the linens were so appreciated!

We hired a Hawaiian guitarist for our beach ceremony. We were guaranteed that he would play loudly enough for our small group of 70 guests to hear him. However, he played very softly, and was not heard by many. We also asked for him to blow the conch signaling my arrival with my dad-he had difficulty, which we don't fault him for- everyone has "off" days- but by the time he could get a decent sound to come out, we were down the aisle. :-) It was kind of funny, so whatever.
Rev. McHenry performed an absolutely beautiful ceremony. We heard so many lovely comments from our guests regarding how perfect his words and gentle manner were! He really did create a very intimate, relaxed, and loving atmosphere. I couldn't imagine anyone else doing a more perfect job!
