It's a Catholic Church -- flexible is not their strong suit. Father Case was wonderful. We did not have to go round and round in circles -- we took out marriage counseling classes, which has helped our relationship so much, and we filled out the paper work, and the church and the wedding was beautiful. I was very pleased with the results.
The Parador was fabulous!!! The place was gourgeous! It totally made the reception. Everyone loved the outdoor courtyard for cocktails and the spaciousness of the building! It was perfect. The high ceilings are beautiful and everyone loved it!
Oh My GOODNESS these people are fabulous, excellent and remakable all at the same time. I dont know what I would have done without Mysti McKinney. She recommended my cake, and flowers and they were absolutly gourgeous as well. I didnt go with her suggestion on the limo, and I regretted it! Mysti helped me with all the details of my day, and although she had like tons of other weddings and events, I felt like mine was her only concern and that she was my personal wedding planner (and she wasn't). She made sure everything was there on time and where it was supposed to go, outlined a timeline for the reception, picked up my wedding favors from the bakery... it was more than I could have asked for in a caterer. The caterer provides tables and chairs, which is great! One less thing for me to do, and they also helped secure linen rentals. Mysti came with me to appointments and met with me for anything I needed. She was resposive and not to mention helpful. And OH, the FOOD!!!! Everyone at the wedding has commented that it was the best wedding food they have ever had. They actually SEASON their food! It was so delicious! Crab cakes were the biggest crowd pleaser! But all the food was perfect. The menu flowed and the servers, and bartenders were polite and accommodating! I can't say enough good things about Behind the Bash!!! If you can choose your caterer, don't go with anyone other than BEHIND THE BASH!!!
The flowers were my favorite part of the wedding. Flowers are expensive... this was not the cheapest route, but the quality and presentation was well worth it! They really made the wedding look spectacular. I didn't realize how big of a difference the flowers make. Lisa was great. She explained everything and after planning with her I felt like she would go above and beyond for me... and she did. At the last minute we did not have a candleabra to hold the unity candle. She threw it into out package at no extra cost, it was decorated with flowers and was perfect. She delivered everything on time to the ceremony site and the reception site, and the bouquets we heavy, but beautiful and I couldn't have asked for a better florist. My brother will be using her in his wedding next Spring!
The cake was wonderful. Loved the look and the taste. We got tons of compliments on the cake. I did have a hard time contacting them because they are by appointment only and are not always in the office, but it wasnt terribly difficult. They will call you back. They will create anything you can imagine, and they did for my grooms cake. It looked fabulous, but it tasted better. The prices were very reasonable. I expected to spend more.
The dress was beautiful, I loved my dress. I never got the same salesperson that I dealt with in the store, on the phone, and I had a hard time getting precise answers to my questions. The dress was fully customizeable which was great. I added sleeves, beading, lengthened the train, and added length becuase I am tall. I loved that I could practically make the dress I wanted. But initally they quoted me the wrong price on the beading and had to call and request more money after a statment of cost was already given and in addition, when I got my dress back the length had NOT been added. I had to pay an additional $500 to a seamstress to drop the hymn on my dress at the last minute. And pay an additional $40 to have my shoes cut shorter. The material was beautiful, the dress was very reasonable and well-made.
I am not sure where the problem rooted, with the manufactuer or the store, but it was a stressful situation, but in the end, it did not compare to having a one of a kind dress, that was beautiful, at a reasonable price.
He is a local guy that my cousin used. He was VERY reasonable. he did not have all the sheets to fill out that the other DJ services had, but I copied one from a website and sent him all that info. And he played all my requested songs, he pleased the crowd, was prompt, professional, he even went to the location to view it before the wedding to prepare what equipment he needed to bring. He saved me about $500 and was better than I imagined!
Working with Anja and I Do Graphics has been my pleasure! I was initially cautious about using an online vendor where I could not talk face to face, but Anja put my worries to rest as soon as I began working with her. Every email and call was responded to quicker than I expected, and any changes that I requested were completed right away. I was amazed at how fast my proofs were completed and mailed to me. But what was the most exciting, was seeing my own vision come together more perfectly than I ever expected. Anja helped to make the invitations in my mind, become a reality! Not only was the service excellent, but the product as well. They use high quality paper and ink, and priced better than our local competitors. I have received so many compliments on my invitations; I couldn't have asked for anything more!
I was so impressed I purchased everything from them: invitations, save the dates, programs, stickers, and thank you cards.

I always go to Bernie at Visible Changes in Memorial City Mall. I have never gone to her for a up do. Although she already had a bride that day, she moved some things around, and made a way for me to get my hair done by her. I showed her a picture and she made it happen. My hair was exactly what I envisioned. It was a natural look that maintained its beauty and hold all day. Bernie is my favorite stylist there for everyday and now for events as well!
