Mike was hands down our favorite vendor. He took the time to get to know us, listened to what we wanted, and delivered it flawlessly. Although we didn't need it in the end, Mike was willing to go to the hospital with us before the ceremony so we could get some pictures with my husband's grandmother.
He was so unobtrusive that we had no idea how he got some of the pictures he did. The photos are AMAZING - artistic, real, and emotional. We were blown away with the album, and have been told by others that its the best album they've seen (my aunt even said this in front of her daughter who had her wedding 4 months earlier and also had her album).
I heard about Flowers By Judy from previous brides who had raved about her. When I met with her I explained the colors I was going for, and showed her some pictures I liked. Since not all the flowers were in bloom in August she was able to make recommendations as to "replacement" flowers we could use. The highlight for me was the lighted trees her and her assistant did for us. I didn't want bows or flowers alongside the aisle. I had shown her pictures of lit trees (similar to what you might see in winter time). They were able to come up with an alternative that was perfect for the ceremony, and the reception.
Diana did an amazing job on the alterations on my wedding dress, as well as Mother's dress. She also took the one tiered veil I bought and was able to attach it to the one my mother wore 39 years ago. She has extremely reasonable prices for all of the work she did.
We liked how Larry Adler ran his company, and would let us meet the actual DJ before the actual wedding day. They listened to the types of music we wanted, made sure they said all of the bridal party names correctly, and had the dance floor packed the entire night. They also did the ceremony music, and worked perfectly with my friend who was singing in the wedding, and needed the instrumental background. The quality of service we received for the price was outstanding.
When we first met with Rev. Hope McNew we thought we had found an ideal officiant. We were able to write our own ceremony, which is the main positive for us. As the days go closer, however, we scheduled a time to meet with her again. When she was (what we thought) 20minutes late my husband contacted her to make sure she was coming. She responded by starting a verbal argument, and said that she never received a confirmation of the time, and that she couldn't meet us. While I understand there was a miscommunication there was no need to start yelling at us. I guess she realized she was wrong, because when we rescheduled she kept repeating, "I'm sorry." The day of the rehearsal she came in, looked at my father, did not introduce herself, and asked if he was planning to pay her -- he had no idea who she even was. The day of the wedding she told my mother before the ceremony that my husband looked, sounded, and acted like he was drunk. She made a mistake about 15min into the ceremony, which was fine, but she then decided to start from the beginning, not just re-read the sentence, which ultimately lengthened the ceremony. In the end we were married, which is what the purpose was, but we were not happy with the quality at all.
We rented a limo and the Rolls. The limo first picked up the guys, took them to the Washington Monument for pictures, dropped them off at The Belvedere, and then came to the hotel to pick the girls up. The Rolls just came to the hotel to pick-up my parents and me.
My mother kept complaining because the Rolls was hot, but it was August, so that didn't bother me too much. What did irritate me was the driver of the Rolls. Our photographer rode in the limo with the girls, and told the Rolls where he needed to go. Well, we drove passed the limo, and even though I kept telling him to stop he kept driving. He finally parked about 5 blocks away (downhill) from where everyone else is. While that might not seem far, it wasn't to easy to walk down to everyone else in heels, and a wedding gown with the train. To top things off, when I stepped out of the Rolls the driver stepped on my train. It was only 1 of 2 times that day that I really got testy...the only good thing was that our photographer got some great shots of me crossing the street with my MOH carrying the train (she came up to help me) and my parents walking behind Lasting Impressions responded with the the following comments: First, we are sorry to hear that your experience with our company was not 100% satisfactory. We take every complaint seriously because we realize this was an once-in-a-lifetime event and you cannot go back and experience the moment again. I wish we would have known about this early so we could have dealt with your concerns in a timely fashion.
Let us address each subject: After speaking to my driver, he said the photographer advised him that everyone was going to the Peabody Institute. When you asked him to stop, he could not because of traffic; our first obligation is safety. Once he found a place to safely pull over, he said he was going to turn around and drive you back to where everyone was; you refused and decided to walk. As one of Lasting Impressions’ owners, my biggest concern was, did he offer to take you where you wanted to go, and then park the vehicle? He did, and because you decided to walk, your decision put you in an uncomfortable situation. I also asked him about stepping on your train, he said he was unaware that he did, and if he did, he apologizes.
As far as the vehicle being hot, because it was a hot day in August, in Baltimore, driving in a black vehicle, in traffic instead of on the highway, the A/C in these classic vehicles can only perform as well as the conditions that present themselves. These conditions were all not favorable.
Again, we are very sorry that there was a miscommunication and we would like to offer you, on your anniversary, a free hour of limousine service. Contact our office when you would like to arrange this.

Mindy did the hair for all my bridesmaids, my mother, my aunt, a family friend, and myself. When I went for my trial I brought a few pictures of the look I wanted, and she hit it on the first try. All of us looked gorgeous my wedding day, and the hairstyles lasted through the night (she was finished around 2:30, and the reception ended at 12:30am).

Nicole did the make-up for all my bridesmaids, my mother, a few close relatives, and myself. She listed to how I wanted my make-up done, and had all of us looking gorgeous the whole day. She brought an assistant, and between the two of them she had all 9 of us done in about 2 hours. She left around 2pm, and my make-up was flawless throughout the reception which ended at 12:30am.
I booked Bella Bridal just a few months before my wedding for a DOC (they did not help with any of the designs, themes, etc). I worked with Jamie who actually handles the planning on a p/t basis. Jamie was always available via email or phone. She attended the final meeting at the site, and followed through with many concerns I had.
There were a few last minute details that my vendor and Jamie seemed to forget about, and because of that kept calling me at work two days before my wedding. That was a little bothersome since I a) hired Bella Bridal to ensure that wouldn't happen, and b) I had given Jamie my parent's number and asked her to please contact them that day - that I really needed to finish a few things at work.
There were a few decorations that were not set-up the way I requested numerous times, and Jamie was a bit short with my MOH the day of the wedding, which was a bit irritating.
All in all, the wedding was spectacular, and everyone raved about it. It was only my parents, my husband, my MOH, and me that noticed the few things that weren't right.

We used the InterContinental Hotel for our out of town guests. We put down a block of 15 rooms, and if we didn't use all 15 we wouldn't be charged for them. I had a huge suite the night of the rehearsal dinner, and the night after the wedding. Three of my bridesmaids used the rooms, and my aunt used another. The concierge and restaurant were exceptional with helping my MOH - she surprised me with a huge spread of cheeses, cookies, fruit, champagne, etc. for the morning of my wedding. The sales team contacted me about a week before to see if we wanted them to place any out of town bags in the rooms, and to make sure they had all of our information they could give our guests (if asked). The sales team was a little difficult to get a hold of, but with how they acted the actual days we were there I would say everything was perfect.
