We worked with Rick and Anna, and I don't regret it one bit. They do not have a store front and met us in Starbucks around town. I'm sure this keeps their costs down. They were really easy to work with. The cake tasted good. I'm not sure it was great. It was good, but to be honest, I don't really like cake in general. They were very flexible and would make anything we asked for. We selected a design from their portfolio but tried some new fillings.

My favorite part of working with them was their communication. Three days before the wedding the special filling we requested could no longer be found, and they called me to choose a substitution. My husband was miffed about it, but I really didn't care. The day before the wedding they called again to confirm everything was all set. I loved that they stayed in touch and were proactive. They did not take up a lot of my time. They got to the point and solved problems. It is exactly what you want when you are three days from getting married. They are solidly professional.

I see the other reviews are more "eh". I should say that we almost didn't have a cake. We just didn't care. Our design was simple. White with dots, a ribbon. I had a great topper that was the real decor. Their price was the best. If these are your same criteria for a cake, then this is your place. If you ever uddered "dream cake" then maybe not. For what I paid, I think it was great. In looking at the photos no one said anything about the cake looking bad, though no one said it looked good. People did think it tasted nice, again good, not great.

I don't know why people like this place. My husband got my E-ring here without talking to *anyone* about it. Needless to say, I didn't like it. Without first discussing it with him, I went into a different Jared just to understand what their policy might be in this case (he had taken a standard setting and placed in custom yellow diamonds). The sales person took my ring to the jeweler and returned to tell me that she had no record that the ring was purchased their, and they couldn't work with the stones in the ring as they were YELLOW TOPAZ!! Then we got a call from the actual sales person for the ring asking us to bring the ring in cause they had mistakenly put a *larger* center stone in than what my husband paid for, so could we come switch that out??! That's when I told the hubby about the fake stones and that I didn't really like it anyway. It was tense people. TENSE! He was crushed I didn't like his design, embarrassed about getting me a smaller stone, and angry about the fake stones. TENSE! The *only* (I mean only) good thing about this being so messed up was that they agreed to refund the whole thing, custom charges and all since they felt that my husband was likely mortified.

We ended up getting a custom design. Get this people...he used them again!! I couldn't believe. He seems to be trying to forge a relationship with a jeweler. He bought earrings for his mother from the same guy shortly later. Their custom work average. I liked it much better but the detail wasn't there. I wasn't about to complain though.

We even went back there to look for our bands. Hubby wanted Titanium with a black diamond. They couldn't do it. He ordered it online. They had a ring I wanted, but it was sold out. They took my number and said they would order it and call me in a week when it came in. I never heard from them. I ordered from diamondharmony.com

Our caterer originally set us up with Any Occasion, and she warned us that it was best to talk to Janet. I never could talk to Janet. She was *never* in the 5 times I visited, there. The first time I went, I was just looking, and I heard a very helpful woman talking to another couple. I waited around a while hoping she could talk to me after, but they really never finished. When I returned on my second visit, I stood at the counter for 5 minutes waiting for help. Then I wandered around for 15 minutes waiting for help. When I finally found someone at the counter and told her I wanted to selected my wedding rentals, she told me she couldn't help me because they were closing in 15 minutes and that was too close. On my third visit, the same lady (with a tatoo on her eye!!) finally made our reservations. She was nearly useless. We were asking her advice about ideas, and she said she didn't know. We wanted to hang paper lanterns across the dance floor outside, but she had no idea what we were talking about!?!? I'm not sure if they rent those or not. I never got a clear answer. Other people in Houston do. A few weeks later I went back to add one thing to the list, good thing cause she had messed it all up. We had 40 forks but 80 knives; many things were missing. On my 5th visit I wanted to rent fans for outside and check my list. They wouldn't give it to me. They said my reservation was only available to my caterer. I canceled the whole thing. Went with Acme.
