We paid 10,500 to use the facility. We chose it because of the outdoor space. Unfortunately, it rained throughout our entire wedding day. For the money we spent on this beautiful venue, we would have expected the A/C to be up to par. Needless to say, it was not. It was so hot that evening, two of our guests went to the hospital because of the heat. Meridian House said that the historic house was not equipped with an A/C unit to keep the entire house cool. It was very disappointing.
April, our event coordinator is quite possibly the most useless human-being on earth. She is obnoxiously rude and doesn't take the time to answer your questions. If she does, she is incredibly rude. If you decide to go with Meridian House, although I think there are many more locations in DC that are just as beautiful for half of the price, you should definitely ask for a different event coordinator.

Annette is extremely unprofessional. I gave her a list of photos I wanted, and she literally took ONE of each shot, leaving me with absolutely no choice but that particular photo. For our wedding party, she gave us NO DIRECTION of what poses to do for our formal group shots. She ASKED us what pose we wanted to do, as if we knew what looked good on camera! She had another photographer with her at our wedding, who unfortunately was in almost half of our wedding photos holding up a flash...NOT taking pictures - which is what we THOUGHT we paid for, (a second photographer). Out of the 1300 photos Annette took, there were about 200 that we liked - which if you think about it...a two year old with a camera could capture at least a few good shots after taking 1300 photos. I would highly recommend a different photographer. Do NOT base your decision off of the incredibly awesome "RED SHOE" photo she has as her "signature shot" - I promise you, you will not get any of those types of "artsy shots"!

David Taylor was our DJ - he was absolutely incredible!!!!! We could not have asked for a better person to be the most important vendor in our wedding!!! If you can book David, he is AWESOME!! I promise you will not regret it!

Diana was AMAZING. She is quick to respond to ANY questions you have. She will help you chose the BEST music for your event, and will take the time to explain EVERYTHING. She is reasonable in price, and plays the harp BEAUTIFULLY!!! She's such a sweet person to work with. She even took my requests, AND accompanied my brother while he sang at our ceremony. We are still getting compliments from Diana's talent!!
