The Castle is a beautiful venue! However, keep in mind that Maryvale is limited on how flexible they can be because it is part of the school. They were not very flexible on the timing of a rehearsal or the placement of furniture, or the use of the awnings outside. However, what made our wedding amazing was the fact that we worked with Mt. Vernon Caterers (one of their exclusive caterers) and they new all of the rules and how to make our event the best it could be in spite of the Maryvale property restrictions. Book the castle for your wedding and reception and work with Mt. Vernon Caterers--they will make your wedding awesome!!

Mt. Vernon Caterers took care of every detail of our wedding day. Their flexiblility to make our day unique was appreciated not only on the day of the wedding, but from the first day we met with Kim, the owner. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for personalized service and someone to take care of the smallest details!

When I initially inquired with Brian about shooting our wedding, he quickly informed me that he was booked but worked with another photographer that would be be available. He referred us to Marilyn DiMarco and we couldn't have been happier! She was responsive and her style is great! She took fantastic pictures and we are so happy with her work. Work with Brian and his team and you won't be disappointed!!

I gave Sharon a lot of creative control because I trusted her and her advice. She did a fantastic job and I was more than pleased with what she came up with and how she decorated for our wedding. I gave her my vision, general guidelines, and my budget and she went for it! She made my wedding day truly beautiful!! She was also very honest about the different types of flowers and what services, etc were needed.

We used CakeLove Cupcakes for our wedding and I couldn't be happier. Their customer service was awesome and everything was perfect. I would highly recommend that you book them if you want something a little different but don't want to sacrafice taste, quality, or customer service.

Booking and setting up Chariots for Hire to transport our guests was easy (we rented a charter bus to take our guests from DC to Baltimore). However, the day of the wedding, the driver did not know where he was going and called the groom for directions, despite them having all of this information well in advance of the wedding day. The booking process was great, but the driver could have been more prepared. Overall though, it was great experience.
