What could go wrong at a beach party?

I wanna know what could go wrong to see if I had thought about it and have the solution to that. If not then I'll have it in mind for my planning. The venue is infront of the beach. The ceremony is gonna be infront of it on the sand. with the beach infront.

Seaweed. Hopefully a lot of seaweed won't wash up that day.

theres really not tooo much that can go wrong.... good luck!

I don't know I absolutely love the beach and everything about it so I can't see much going wrong besides weather rain or windy causing the sand to blow. Wish I was getting married on the beach :)

Wind & fog mostly - forget candles, they never stay lit outside! Parking may be an issue.

Well...it IS monterrey, and the beaches are COLD! Another thing is that you should make sure that you pick a clean patch of sand. IDK what area you are looking at, but a lot of the beaches are pretty dirty (trash).
Overall though, its sooooo pretty in Monterrey! :)
Also, be conscious of what shoes you choose (if you have any) and your veil and hairstyles (because of the wind). It gets pretty foggy in the evenings too, so timing is important too. :)

I think I might end up putting my hair up so I wont be eating it lol... or getting on the way when we do the KISS!!! and I'm thinking of "Advetures-by-the-sea" So I dont think its too FOGGY... or Trashy (I'll double check) for the fog... might put lots of light... good idea?

Living in Miami and working as a south florida based events manager and bartender here is an edited list that I have given beach minded brides in the past I copy and pasted from word so please forgive me if the formatting is off...
walking to and from the ceremony how will elderly/handicapped guests get there?
during the ceremony will you need audio equipment to be heard over the wind?
Do you care if strangers watch your wedding?
the area may need to be raked and leveled to allow for seating, archways, aisle etc...
are permits required for the section of the beach you would like to get married on?
Consider providing flip-flops or parasols as wedding favors to help guests with inappropriate footwear and guard from the sun
it is illegal in Miami to restrict access to a public beach.... so you cannot physically block access with ribbons etc.( Don't Know about CA) consider asking ushers or family members to stand guard
Candles consider battery operated
I know your day will be beautiful!!

Cops breaking up the ordeal :) Make sure you have all the permits you need. To find out what you need call the city office. Find out if there are permits or restrictions.
Also, I would look into a day of coordinator. You don't want anyone taking stuff (chairs, altar, arch, flowers etc) and you also want to make sure there's not a ton of trash blowing around!

fyi dans wife i am having a beach wedding aand seaweed it is not a all time thing it just depends on what has happen out at sea but alot of wedding people will clean the seaweed away and bout blockin of a section for ur wedding its a good idea but i dont think its possible the reason why i say that is it is a public beach so people r free to walk and do what the please its just something u gota deal with now i did see a wedding last time i was at the beach and people did stop and did not walk through the wedding they stoped r walked around

I think that some people are respectfull enough to know this is a very special day to the bride and will walk around but... others are just jerks and try to enforce their "rights" when they know its a pupblic beach and began doing stupid things to gain attention or ruin it!

Some stuff that I have seen go wrong at beach weddings 1) weather (of course), 2) they didn't have very good sound system so you can't hear anything because the wind drowns out all the noise, 3) random beach-goers standing around while you are doing your vows. In Fla. we have this issue with red tide and the water smells really bad but I don't think that happens in Cali.

I just went to a beach wedding in June. The brides veil & hair flew in her face in every pic. Ppl at the beach was respectful & just walked by. Everything was perfect
