WEDDING COLORS
Hi everyone/ My FH an I are trying to figure out some colors for our wedding. We both like balck, white, and silver. But we're thinking maybe the black will be too dark being we're getting marreid in June 2010. Any suggestions would be great .

Black might be hot if you are outdoors. You could use it as an accent color, rather than dressing your party in it head to toe. I think those colors are great!

We had our wedding in June and our colors were black and white. Before the wedding a lot of people had their little comments about the black but at the wedding we had a lot of comments on how elegant it looked. I have some pictures on my profile and I do have more of the decorations if you want to email me.

our colors are black, fusia (our dark pink) and some silver. although it is in october and the colors are ok for that month, i think they look good for any month. it's really all what you and your FH want.

I have the opposite problem...we are getting married in Oct '10. My colors are navy and silver....my mom things it's too "winter". But my hubby to be look SO HOT in Navy! Putting him in a black tux seems silly.

Anyway--I think there is nothing more classy than the black, white and silver combo. I honestly woud have choosen the same if I weren't having a morning wedding with family only.

I would suggest doing a pop of color since your colors are neutrals. A bright pink, aqua, orange or green could be the pop you need for a summer wedding.

Black And White Is A Timeless Classic And Truly Elegant Especially For An Evening Affair. Add your favorite color as an accents!

We've seen a huge trend in black and white favors recently so you're right in there!

Best Wishes!

truly it's all about what YOU want... I think black dresses if it's an indoor ceremony are perfect considering they could wear them again! The silver adds that spark of something extra and the white is classic and crisp...

if you decided you wanted a pop of color you could always pick something season fitting like.. lime green, aqua, red, or even yellow

but even if you stay w/ what you have it'll be gorgeous no doubt!

This is your day - your vision. Don't listen to what others want you to do - it is up to you.
Black, White and Silver combo will be very elegant year round. It all depends on how you use it and the venue you select (which should be top of list to get reserved now, followed by your vendors which can only support one event per day like photographer, band, etc.). If wearing black, make certain venues are indoors during the Summer and the venue is prepared to turn up the AC to keep things cool. You can add flashes of color with your linens, flowers, favors or even table decor (candles, crystals, plates, chargers, etc).
Give us a call if you'd like to hire professional planning services to help you.
Otherwise, have a blessed and beautiful day!

if its a night time wedding i think black ,white and silver would be so elegant. maybe add a punch of a differnt color other than silver to make it more summery like a yellow or red. i've been trying to nail down my colors too and have gotten some inpspiration from the wedding cakes pictures here.

I think black is just fine for your bridesmaids dresses. Black and white are very elegant. Plus since it's a June wedding you can go with some of the knee length cocktail style dresses to beat the heat! Plus then your bridesmaids REALLY can wear the dress again!
If you wanted to brighten it up you could add a sash with a bright color or even just your silver as accent.
