Virgin Islands!

My FH is an artist and is trading a piece of work for a two week stay in St. Thomas. Our lodging is taken care of... all we need to worry about is getting there and expenses such as food and entertainment. We just got our dates confirmed today... I am so excited!
Has anyone been to St Thomas before? Are there any "must see" places or experiences that you would recommend?

Never been, but I'm sure you will have a great time. Maybe check with a local travel agent just to get some ideas about what type of activities there are to do!!!

We went to St Thomas on a cruise in April. It was incredible and we'd love to go back and stay there for a week sometime. We did a jet ski excursion at the Wyndham hotel (beautiful) and rode jetskis over to St John. It was one of the most beautiful places I've ever been.

I just got back a few weeks ago! :o) But we were on a cruise so we only got to be in St. Thomas for a day. But we went snorkeling on a catamaran and it was great! There was a sunken ship we got to see. Another popular thing was to take this sky ride up to a town where you could do shopping and other things...we didn't get a chance to though. People we met on the cruise did a jeep tour they said was awesome!

If you have time, take the ferry over to the British Virgin Islands. I have been to BVI a few times and am going again May 2010. Little Dix Bay, the Baths at Virgin Gorda. Nice spots. Much less crazy than the St. Thomas.

my daughteris 8 yrs old and she lives in Virgin Islands w/her dad. it is wonderful there. she lives in st. croix not sure how farthat is away from where you will be

Thanks ladies! I might look into the sunken ship... that sounds like something I would enjoy. We might also catch that ferry over the the British Islands. :)
