Rude Vendor........NWR

I just wanted to add a post regarding what happened with the rude vendor. I also wanted to say thank you to those vendors who genuienly (sp?) give advice and not just try to advertise. I think its great that we ALL come together and give eachother support. However, to these vendors that ONLY advertise, if you have nothing to say regarding the post then keep your advertising to yourself, we all come together to get advice and share all ideas and opinions, please don't turn this into a soliciting site. There, I said my peace! Thank you!

I 100% agree! There's nothing wrong with adding it in at the bottom of the post but a response to the question is definitely needed. If you're going to do nothing but advertise your site, then do it somewhere else!!
(btw...what does NWR mean? just curious lol)

NWR= not wedding related
I tend to try and cotact these self promoting vendors via e-mail to inform them how we here at WW take offense to their type of advertising and that it will not only stop us from using them as a vendor but will cause us to advise other non WW users to not use them. Vendors who are helpful are the ones who get the business. Some choose to take the advise others ignore it and loose their accounts. Oh well. I warned them.

LOL @ Celtic, you can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink...... SRY yea NWR= NOT WEDDING RELATED. Actually someone posted and in the front of it was PSA and I wasn't sure what that was either and I just found out it means PUBLIC SERIVCE ANNOUNCEMENT. Thanks guys, I just feel bad for the vendors that actually take the time to read the posts and give real advice/support, I mean yea, its ok if you want to put an advertisment AFTER you give advice/support, thats completely fine.

Whenever I see a vendor post an advertisement without adding any value to the original post, I always make sure to flag them as such. I recommend that all of you continue to do the same so that we can keep these boards productive for all.

Celtic that's exactly how i feel; makes us less likely to use them.
Brian, on the other hand, is awesome!

Yes, Lovely, I couldn't agree more, YOUR AWESOME BRIAN! B.C he actually has something to say regarding posts rather than just advertising, personally if we could afford a photographer I would probablly at least sit down with brian, of course I can't say we would use him b.c its my FH's decision too but I can say we would at least have a sit down session with him.

The thing that get me is that if you like something the vendor says or you are intereseted in them, all you have to do is click on the icon and the storefront comes up. There is no need to put it on the post. The ones that really get me is where they put their website on and they are in a totally different part of the country!

There are a few vendors who are helpful. Like Brian and Ideal off the top of my head

I have always tried to only answer the question given or give my own personal experiences. I would never post my ad, because you can just click into my info. I have posted info of other vendors on here when it pertains to the question. For example, ladies frequently want to know where they can sell their dress or other wedding items. I let them know about one company that's listed on WW and another I know about, too.

O no, I am sorry for a misunderstanding, I wasn't directing that at anyone that posted on this forum. I was saying about the forum about the ppl that only post their advertisments... not give any advice....

I actually learn a lot from the WW brides, too! Over the past few weeks, I've noticed my conversations peppered with "Here's a great idea I got from a bride on WW that you might want to consider...." I really like the interaction between brides and vendors that I see on here and hope it continues in it's positive nurturing spirit!
