RSVP wording ideas needed!

cheryl, on February 14, 2012 at 8:57 PM Posted in Planning 0 16

So...my fiancé and I finally booked our venue and figured out our wedding theme: FLAMENCO! We're so excited about our theme and ah-mazing venue, but now we'd like to incorporate our theme into our RSVPs but we honestly can't even think of anything cute, funny or sassy. Needless to say, we're open for ideas ;.)

Cheryl - What's your theme? Sorry...not familiar with it...

The mad lib RSVP has always been one of my favorites. I also think that the sassy ones are funny, but I would never have the balls to pull it off myself.

    Here's some more ideas...

I've also seen one that says "Respond by DATE or kindly bring a brown bag lunch and a lawn chair"

Like I said, I wouldn't have the balls!

**Just wanted to add, if you want to be sure guests aren't inviting more than what you'd like, be sure to write in their names for them.

Those are really cute ones ladies! @Kim what if you write their names in and then one of them can't come? How does that usually work? I'm also trying to figure out what to do with my rsvps.

    You have a few options...

    1) Write their names all individually and put a Y/N next to each one (like my first picture above)

    2) Say "__ Seats have been reserved in your honor"

    3) Trust them completely (most people won't recommend this)

Also, it is recommended that you number your RSVPs...if they forget to put their names, it's much easier to hunt them down!

Goodness ladies, you're all are giving me some awesome ideas...thank you so very much!

@ Kimi- I was actually thinking how to limit the amount of guests others can bring. You've totally answered my unasked question Smiley smile

@KatieBug- Flamenco is a kind of dance from Spain (our venue pretty much had a built in theme) so I'm kinda unfamiliar within myself...lol

My fiance and I are planning a surprise flamenco performance for our guests during the cocktail hour and we're so excited about it! Also half of our guests are bilingual and we wanted to kinda throw in some sort of easy Spanish words into the RSVPs like: fiesta or Ole! or Amor...not sure how to do that exactly Smiley sad
