Rehearsal Dinner Invites
In order to accommodate the Reverend and the church's schedule, our rehearsal dinner is now a rehearsal luncheon and the wedding rehearsal will take place at 7pm later that same evening. My question is should I send out invites for the rehearsal and rehearsal luncheon? Most of our families are coming in from out of town and even though they aren't in the wedding he thought it would be nice to get everyone together in a smaller setting before the wedding.

I would send out one invite including both times. this way people know that there is a gap in between and they can head back to their hotel.

I don't think it's usual for invites to be sent to the rehearsal but since you are thinking of inviting the out of town guests then I'd say it's a good idea!

You could include a note that the rehearsal itself is entirely optional for the out of town guests who are invited to the rehearsal luncheon. attendance by non wedding party people is not required etc.
