purple and teal/turquoise centerpieces- i need HELP!!
so 3 months to go and I still do not have any clue as to what I will be doing for a centerpiece. Im sooo frustrated! I have white tablecloths with a deep purple runner- my girls dresses are that deep purple (lapis), so I was thinking that teal would be a nice color to throw in the mix. The problem is I cant afford to do fresh flowers for centerpieces and I am very unskilled when it comes to being crafty. I need help as to what I can do! Pictures would be great- Im having a hard time finding that color combo...thanks!

I think teal centerpieces will be beautiful. What kind of flower are you using for your bouquets, etc.

What about doing wrapped boxes in your colors? There's a few brides on here doing something like that and it looks really nice and easy to do. Silk flowers can also be pretty inexpensive. Check out http://www.afloral.com/

Uhmmm I'm really partial to her (points above her post) centerpieces, and I think the teal would "pop" just as well as the fuschia does!

Substitute purple flowers, like lavendar?
These can be found at antique faires, flea markets, thrift stores for next to nothing.

I used a fishbowl with water and floating candles. A huge martini glass with floating wicks. You put water in the bowl then you use vegetable oil to light the wicks. We also had a tall vase with blue water and a floating candle. I'll try to find a pic that shows how we put them on the table.

There was a tall vase at each end of the table, then 2 martini glasses, and one fishbowl in the middle. The fishbowl and tall vases had floating candles in them.

@ Lutawolf: Have you seen those gel things in your 2nd pic in person? I like them. but I went to my cousins wedding & for whatever reason they sqaushed them, I guess to make them go further & it was a terrible idea. But I would love to see them in person without the stock photo.

yup just go to walmart or Michaels and they can be found in your floral section.. sometimes the scented section because they often come in a ton of different scents as well.
