new style cake topper or traditional
Went to pick my cake today and the lady at the bakery told me that she rarely sees the bride and groom traditional toppers any more. The IN thing is monograms or flowers. Not sure which one to pick?

If you want a traditional topper I say go for it. There are lots of cute ones out there and some are even funny like the bride dragging the groom by the collar.

I have recently fallen in love with the precious moments cake toppers. My dress is the Ariel one from Alfred Angelo's Disney collection so I was thinking of going with the Ariel & Eric Precious Moments cake topper. They also have non Disney ones. I love them all!

FH and I had our cake topper specially made, was more money than I wanted to spend but I absolutely love it, so I am happy we decided to go with it.

We really want Wall-e and Eva for cake toppers, but haven't had any luck finding them for less then $50 a piece- so our next favorite is a traditional style with the couple dancing (we are ballroom dancers)

We did a mix of old and new- it is a bride and groom, but they are in a cute pose, not the traditional one.

We have the bride and groom riding the motorcycle. we also liked the one with the bride dragging the groom by the collar and the motorcycle sitting to the side.

ordered from etsy. personalized peg dolls. they have a bunch of unique toppers. don't let your baker sway you away from what you really want. i figured our topper will be a great keepsake & it was less expensive then the inital toppers i've seen.

I love the Walle toppers, I know that my fiance and I are using an engagement photo as a topper. It goes with her idea for the cake of using it as also a trbute to our parents and grandparents.

I think that the choice is totally yours, I would guess that that choice would be dependent on what you had envisioned?
I wanted from the start to have something non traditional and that I could keep without worrying that it could break.
I went with handmade sweetheart birds that were made out of fabric.
