Natural Hairstyles for Sistas
Hey everyone!

I have a question...what hairstyles have you explored for your big day? I have been a natural for nine years now and my hair and sweat are arch enemies! Lol! I don't want to straighten for that reason but I do want a sleeker look for my wedding day. If you have any suggestions, they would be greatly appreciated. :-)

I wish I could give you some assitance other than the photos already posted, but, I'm still in my teeny weeny afro stage so I'm just wearing my hair with a bandu knot-out and a really adorable hairband :) I hope you find a style that you love for your day!

Here's one that I'm considering. There is also a style called cinnabon? There are tutorials on YouTube for the cinnabon. Post pics of what you decide one.

I've been natural a little over two years and I'm searching for a style too that won't have me looking crazy. I think, even tho I really hate to do it, that I may gel my hair back into either a low bun or pouf.

Well m natural, am I'm NOT wearing my hair! I don't wanna have to worry about it getting big, or not lookin right. So I'll be getting extensions so I won't ave to straighten my hair.

I really like that first hairstyle Tina Bo Bina! That would allow me to get my boogy on and not worry about the edges or the body of my hair flaring up! I might have to put that one in the top five list! :-) I know how you all feel me because when my hair 'expands' it looks like Eddie Murphy's hair from "Vampire In Brooklyn"! LBVS! It happened on the night we got engaged/my birthday and everyone was snapping pictures...I was like "no! Wait! Don't post that picture!" lol!

I've been natural for about 6 years and I have locks but I'm still trying to think of how I want to wear mine...I'm definitely thinking that I'll have them pinned up.

Definitely use the time you have between now and your wedding to experiment with the style/products to see what works best for you. We can't wait to see the final product!

I had a professional do ny hair In a sleek updo. No heat. All natural products. She did a mixture of regular twists and flat twists

Here are a few that I thought were very pretty. I am natural and have not yet decided what style I will wear. I have 11 months to decide so no panic yet.
