My DIY Bridal Shoes. LOVE EM
So I was originally going to go to VS and buy wedge flops in white. I had budgetted for it. But the other day @ my Mom's she seen the hot pink leopard print flip flops I had on and wanted them so she traded me her pink flops because she didn't like the way they felt. And then she informs me she has a white and teal pair. So I look at the white & they are the exact ones that VS sales & she got them at Dollar General for $3.50. LOL. So, tonight, I started and finished one of my many DIY projects!!! Here is a before pic & 2 after pics!!! I used a super cute pink button in the middle. The ribbon is hot pink with black polka dots.

@Kelsey, thank u :-D
@Jaycee, I've given it some serious thought!! :-) & just may. I want to get a certificate in Wedding planning via an online course and want to be an inhouse coordinator for the place where I am having my wedding since they don't have a coordinator but things would run sooo much more smoothly if they did LOL.

Are you serious? Gooooo away.
I like my flip flops, I guess that's where my REDNECK WOMAN comes in to play.

my daughter is in bed with me and just said 'those flip flops are way cool'. lol
I plan on switching into flip flops at the reception and have been looking for ideas on how to decorate them.

It's very easy :) And I am keeping them on all day. I have to be honest, I can't walk in heels. LOL. And all I need is to walk in heels on my wedding day and break my ankle. WOW YEA that would be bad. My sister slipped into the Jacuzzi and cracked her knee cap on her wedding night and it was as big as a basketball the next morning. I don't want something bad to happen. LOL.
.
The flip flops were found @ Dollar General by my Mom for 3.50 and the ribbon is 1.97 @ walmart. Buttons are optional, they had other choices. they are 1.97 for a pack of 6. So I got off cheap because the ones I wanted were $25.

How did you put the ribbon on? It looks really good! I like the pink and black dots, will be great for some cute feet pictures!

great ideas! I'm not wearing heels either. I do on occasion but FS is pretty much the same height as me and I will be nervous enough and don't want to add 4 inches to the walk down the aisle. I haven't decided on flip flops or ballet flats. It's an outdoor wedding in Feb but we're in San Diego.

@ Jass, I just cut the ribbon @ an angle and hot glued it at the base of the thong near the back of the foot. And then just twisted it around to the other side, then hot glued the end of the ribbon to the other base. Its really simple, play with it a few times before you glue tho. LOL... just take my advice there teehee I messed up.
@ Fins: ballet flats are cute too :)
