Is it to early to set up a wedding page/site??

Ladies.. As most if not all of you this is an exciting yet stressful and fun time for us. Well I have mentioned time and time again about setting up our wedding page/site. But my FH has stated that he have seen people set them up 3-4 months before the wedding... What? To me that is wayyy to late. I want to set mine up now. Or atleast start to put it together. I dont think its to early is it......

I'd say it is never too early to set up the website! If people keep asking you when is it? where is it? etc you can just direct them there. Also it is fun to update it as you go... once you figure out what the menu is, post it on there. If you know the theme, make sure your site matches. When you reserve a block of rooms at local hotels, put them up with instructions on how to reserve rooms and directions from out of town.
Even if not a lot of people will be looking at it yet, it is (for me at least) a fun thing to set up and keep working on. By the time you get closer, it will be perfect. I've seen sites that look like they were set up the day before invitations went out and hadn't been spell checked, didn't match the invites, and just looked rushed. It won't hurt anything to start on your site right now it will just remove some stress later.

I say go for it!! I have mine up and running, but haven't really told anyone about it as I'm not quite done tweeking it! I recommend www.mywedding.com, It's free!! and has the RSVP thing and all kinds of stuff, I shut down my account at www.ewedding.com because they wanted $100 bucks for the 'gold' account..which is escatly liek what mywedding offers, but theirs is free!! I think it's fine! That way you have the time for it to be completely organized and you'll be way to busy 3 motnhs before the wedding to worry about starting it!

Hi congratulations, I set mine up the weekend after I got engaged(ten months prior). But I would recommend a you look at a few prior to see what you want your setup to look like. Also come up with a lot of quiz questions our family and friends loved it. Here's mine if you want to take a look. www.brittanyandernie.com Good Luck!

I set mine up here on wedding wire months ago and I am always tweaking it. I LOVE the website services that wedding wire offers. I would highly suggest going through them. It is easy to set up they offer some unique things like entertainment in the area and my favorite a page to request music at the reception. My DJ is also loving that feature since he has to get the music before hand. Also the RSVP on this wedding wire can not be altered. I have seen on other websites whether you were invited or not you can RSVP which isn't the case with wedding wire. Another cool feature is you can add as many menu options onto the RSVP as you want. Most only offer 2 choices. I have 4 different selections and non of the other sites were working for me.

I am so with you on trying to get things done NOW, rather than later. What I've done is set up the website (I used the weddingwire one) but I haven't told anyone about it. I also went to the settings and made it so that it's not searchable and not linked to my profile. Basically it's there, but no one knows about it.
Maybe this is the best of both worlds- you can get it done so that when it's tome to tell people all the work is finished.

Your FH might be confusing "setting up" with "sending out"! There's nothing wrong with setting it up now and working on it over the next year.

I set my website up like 8 months ago. Just one less thing to deal with. It was fun! Also it was way easier to work on it over a couple of weeks then to try and do it all at once. It is never too early to start on the website! Have fun with it! :) Plus it takes some time to put everything together I took a lot of time on mine! Good luck and congrats!

Hi, congrats. I think you should do the website, that way your friends and family that cares about you can follow you & your fiance's story.
