Hair Extensions for the wedding day... or Grow the Hair with your ideas...

Ok, So I have this thing..... that my FH loves long hair and I do too. But my hair doesn't grow that long.... :o( I've tried some shampoos and treatments but havent worked out. So I was thinking of getting extensions. Do you brides know if they are too expensive or if they'll fall off after some time... or if my hair is pulled it'll fall.... I mean: I dont want my hair falling off on my wedding night or when I'm taking a bath with my FH which should be a romantic day not some EWK view...

I know there are different kinds of extentions and different ways of attaching them. The good ones can cost a lot but can withstand a lot of action. I would call one of your local hair salons and go over the details with them and then have a consult if you are still interested to see how they will blend with your current hair. If your hair is too short it can sometimes not look right.

Do you have a sensitive head? My friend did extensions and ended up throwing up from the pain! We had to take her to the bathroom and get them out because she couldn't take it anymore. (she is extremely sensitive though)

I also think that you want to look like yourself on your wedding day. So if you've never had long hair, why change it? Maybe do it for fun to surprise him sometime after you're married. Do you want to look back and know you had on fake hair? I dont know, just something to think about.

Your hair seems pretty long from your pics. To have good quality extensions can run you alot of $$$ on the day you get them put on and the maintenance. They can feel really heavy. They do have extensions that are bonded onto your own hair. I would imagine that you would loose some hair though. People say to take prenatal vitamins. It's supposed to help with hair and nail growth. I have never done it except when I was pregnant. My hair and nails did grow alot. lol I think your hair looks great the way it is.

Thanks tinkerbell. I do have my hair a bit more than half way of my back. But I was thinking of getting extensions about 4 inches longer. Other than to have it longer it would also create volume I think...

So this is so my topic. I wear extension but not the ones a track.i do something called Fusion to my hair. And I used to have to go from Miami to NY every 3-4 months to get it done. But I found a hairstylist here that does it. So ne way fusion is the kind of extensions that celebs wear. It looks and feel like it's my hair. I swim w/it, wash it, curl it, flat iron it, I can do whatever I do to my real hair to my extensions. It lasts me for about 3 1/2 months I spend about 600.00 to 800.00 easch time. Depending on how I want it cut and how long I want it. If you pull it it will not come out.
Good Luck!!!

I am actually going through the same thing, and my hair stylist is sewing them for me. I just purchased human hair to match my color from a local beauty supply for $75, and it will clip underneath my real hair. My stylist said I shouldn't worry about it falling out, and I can then clip it in whenever the occasion permits in the future :)

Trina.... Its an awesome thought that the hair wouldnt come off. And I'll keep it inmind If I have the budget for it. Fornow the hair is just one or the last things on my lists to spend too much money on. But I think that you also get to pay for what you get right? cuz it lasts along time.
Becky.... The clip ons need to be taken off at night? or do they need to be fixed a certain way? cuz my FH loves to run his fingers through my hair... do you think that would still work smoothly?

When you get hair like what Becky is talking about. It's not really run your hands through it kind of hair. If it's sew in hair then no you don't take it out at night. But if it;s a clip you can. Honestly it really up to you. There are alot of really nice short hair styles out there.
