For Real... How do you set up the Honeymoon registry?
OK... I have joined like 3 different honeymoon registries hoping that one would be easier than the other to figure out... UM... NOPE! How do you get your hotel on there, how do we know that the money gets sent to them along with massages and eating, etc. HELP PLEASE!!!

Uh...you don't! The money gets sent to YOU! They will all be that way. Money is transferred into YOUR account and YOU pay the bills/ spend the $ on what you choose.

Exactly what Analy says. It's pretty simple, they should have instructions on their website in fact. I used Travelers Joy for mine and was pretty happy. They do charge 7.5% (to you not your guests) but they have the most user-friendly of the websites.

Honeyfund is FREE. Paypal will charge you like 1% though on all the sites.

We are using HoneymoonWishes.com. They actually are sending our gift monies to our hotel so that it's there when we check in. We thought this would make our friends and family feel better that they weren't just giving us cash. I think it depends what hotel you are staying out but we love how people are really giving us things to do on our trip.

Most people don't use it for hotels. Only extras like massages, dinners, etc.

we're using http://www.depositagift.com

love the site. super easy to use. and very flexible options to cash-out and get the money to use towards the honeymoon.

you can get the money via check, direct deposit or visa gift card. but to answer your question above, i would recommend direct deposit. super simple and quick direct to your bank account. check won't even have a chance to get lost in the mail!

Paypal goes right into your bank account, that is correct. However, you should give your guests the option of cash/check as well. Then it just shows as a pledge, and the cish will be given to you presumably at the wedding. For all others, paypal is the way to go. Just select the option to use all 3.

UNLESS YOU'RE HONEYMOONING IN WALT DISNEY WORLD.. like I am.. they have a really cool honeymoon registry and they don't charge you a percentage like everyone else.

So my question is now, which one is the best one to use? Do any of these charge little to nothing? I'd like to set one up for us now that we have officially gotten our honeymoon booked. :)

Honeyfund is FREE. Free to you and your guests. Paypal charges about 1%, and that is no matter what site you use. Many of the other honeymoon sites charge transaction fees, but not honeyfund.

We used Honeyfund and we've had a great response from guests. I suppose it just depends on each couples tastes and things that are important. :)
