FH Wedding Band
Where did you buy?
What metal did you decide on?
I am having a hard time making a decision.
Any pictures of your purchases would help too! Thanks!

I am thinking about going to kay's. they have a great selection for reasonable prices. My FH wants a white gold band but he wants it to be about 4 or 5mm not to big since he works a lot. The one I was looking at is about 3 or 4 depending on if I can catcha sale it may be 2 something.

Thanks ladies. I am looking at Amazon right now. Tungsten would be a good choice because of his work. He bought my rings in yellow gold (which I don't really like...but it slowly grew on me..lol)
He asked for white gold....
Thank you for your responses...I was trying to get a feel for the cost and looks that other brides are selecting. Thank you ladies!

My FH does not do designs or gems so he just got a basic Tungstun ring. Tungstun is unscatchable, but also unbreakable so if it needs to be cut off his finger for an emergency...bad news. But it is a very pretty metal.

His will match mine - in white gold with 2 princess sapphires and 3 round diamonds set at a diagonal. He has tried some on that are similar that he likes. I will most likely have to have it either designed or modified.

My FH's ring is palladium (as are my bands and e-ring) - We got it from the same jeweler he designed my e-ring with (a local place by our house). His cost $1100 b/c it is super heavy/thick and unique with the carving.

We got his a Macy's during their fine jewelry sale a couple of weeks ago for ~60% off.
It's Tungsten. We like the look of the slightly darker silver color of tungsten.

FH wanted a very yellow gold ring and we couldn't find anything he liked at a mainstream jewelry store. So we went to Devon Street the last time we were in Chicago and he found an 18k yellow band for around $400 at one of the ethnic jewelry shops there. They even dipped it in 24k for him to make it extra yellow. He really likes yellow. :)

My FH's is palladium because he liked that it was a little darker than white gold, but still a precious metal. We got it for about $450 on a 20% off sale at our jeweler.

We went to the same jeweler who we purchased my engagement ring from. Honestly, I absolutely love my jeweler. I love my one of a kind ring. I love that we first picked it out and then didn't return until 4 months later to buy it. He immediately recognized us as we walked in the door and got my ring from the back of the shop (which he took out of the case to save for us without us even specifically asking us to). His customer service is just wonderful and so personal. I also love that he personally crafts all of his pieces.

As a result, we purchased both of our bands from him. I couldn't imagine going anywhere else. Yea, we might have been able to save money at a big nation wide chain or buying online, but I love supporting small independent businesses.

My FH's band was 600. We decided on 14k white gold for him since he only does IT work and isn't rough on his hands.

Photos... sorry the only ones of his also have mine in it as well.

After FH didn't care for anything in the jewelry stores, we are ordering this one from Etsy - I think the wood in-lay gives it a very timeless and handsome look.

All these rings are very cool - Jessica I have to say that is one of the coolest wedding bands I've seen.

Will the wood patina or need to be replaced over time?

My fiance wanted a nice durable ring. He was going to get a tungsten until we found out if he has an accident and the ring gets stuck, they will have to cut off his finger (yikes). I allow him to chose his own ring and he selected a nice titanium ring. It was only $14.

Kris - One of the problems about ordering from an Etsy seller is no commercial warranty. So I'm sending him a list of questions, like what about sizing if FH gains or looses much weight over time, and about any care needs for the wood in the ring.

The vendor does sell them primarily as wedding rings, or so the description suggests, and he has great feedback - so I'm crossing all my fingers and toes that the quality is as good as it looks and that the seller will be around for a while in case there are any problems in the first few years.

I had to buy FH two different rings, a tungsten ring for work and a yellow/white gold with small bling for dress. An Italian mans needs his bling, even if it is tiny.

Please excuse the wrinkly old people hands.
