Elopement Announcement

Sarah, on November 10, 2015 at 5:44 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 3

I want to come up with something short and sweet and NOT cheesy whatsoever to announce our surpise wedding on social media. I am coming up with a huge blank space! Can you help me write something that will make our posts memorable without being ridiculous?

I would send out a wedding announcement through the mail to your friends and family. It's more personal, and if a super close friend/family member got married and then told everyone on social media, I would probably be offended that they didn't let me know first. You can find wedding announcements on zazzle, vistaprint, minted, wedding paper divas, shutterfly, etc.

After you sent out the paper announcements to your friends and family, you could post something cute and frou-frou on social media if that's your thing. Suggestions would include pictures of you all with something Mr. and Mrs. related (Mr. and Mrs. sweatshirts?), ring pictures, or just changing your status.

I saw an acquaintance from college post about her elopement just a couple of days ago on Facebook. She changed her relationship status to married and in the part where you can add a description she put "we eloped!". There was also a cute picture of their rings. It seemed really romantic!
