Dress & Necklace
OK, here's my dress: (I hope it works)
http://houseofbrides.com/product.php?productid=30399&cat=1270&page=2

Now I need help with a necklace. I first thought I wanted something not too blingy as to not take away from the bling on the dress. But then I got to thinking that maybe I want something just as blingy to even out the bling all around. Oh, and I am not wearing a veil. I do have a very sparkly double head banded tiara thing that I'm wearing on my head.
So what kind of necklace do you think I should wear? I really cannot decide :)

Are you wanting to purchase a real necklace or something that has been made? I will have to look at your dress at home, will not open here on this computer. I make beaded jewelry and I made all of mine and my girls necklaces and earrings. They are pearls and diamond accents. I can send you a pic if you like.

Yes, I think that dress calls for a nice ornate (yet delicate) necklace or pendant. I think you could really play up the V part of the embroidery with a similar shape with your necklace (versus something like a strand of pearls or stones that is curved around your neck).

The necklace I made for myself has a V down style to it instead of just a strand of pearls and stones. It has some style and shape to it. Also, because I am the bride and I deserve to stand out. LOL. I will get the pics to you later. Thanks

I think something like this brings the bling without overpowering the dress...

If you like bling, go for it! I agree with southerngirl on the V style to match the dress, too.

omg I love dress and all the jewelry everyone has picked..... If you don't mind I'm not the smartest when it comes to picking out jewelry for a dress so I might copy off of your post

The necklace that Konichiwa suggested is a great choice for that gown. A rhinestone necklace would harmonize with the beading on the dress. That is why that one is a good choice. The double rhinestone pattern really balance out the beading near your neckline without being overpowering. And the V shape in the necklace with the drop pendant reflect the V inset on your gown. If you can't find that exact necklace, you should be able to find one with a similar look. By the way, that is a beautiful gown!

Agree that the necklace Konichiwa picked is a great design for your dress. And agree with Desiree that I'd keep it up close to your neck with a slight V shape.

Being the jewelry geek that I am, I went looking to see how much that necklace was, etc and found the website to be a little "un-user friendly." If anyone else could find the price, please enlighten me. :)

Anyway, thought I would give you some more options of similar looking necklace sets. Here's a link to a catalog of a supplier that I use that has some similar looking wedding jewelry:

http://www.mariellonline.com/index.html

Click on Jewelry and then check out the first couple pages. For instance, check out page 14 at the top. That set is somewhat similar and it's not too expensive.

Just some ideas - if you would like any more info or would like me to find some more sets that are similar for you, let me know. I love hunting for jewelry.

Wow I love their jewelery! Thank you! But, unfortunately, something like that costs more than my dress did and is a bit out of my budget. If you can find something like that but way cheaper, I would love it! :)

Could you buy a couple of costume jewelry pieces that are not too expensive (keep the receipts) and when you get your dress try them on - take a picture and see which one you like best. the one you don't like, take them back.

Personally, less is more and your dress is so beautiful and amazing. With the tiara, you will have enough bling. For my wedding I wore three stranded pearl necklace and felt it was too much in pictures....

What ever you decide, just know its your day! Do what you want!

Which necklace do you like the best? I can find you something in your price range that is similar.

Do you have a Claire's near you? They have some inexpensive options that aren't bad looking! However you CANNOT return them if you buy them, I wanted to get some to show my BMs but the girl told me they couldn't be returned. Evidently people would purchase a couple hundred dollars worth of BP jewelry and then return it after the wedding.
