DIY Ringer Bearer Pillows
Ok, I figured out how I want the ring bearer pillows (I'll hopefully be having two ring bearers.)

Here's the pic....

Anyone have any tips on how to make it? TIA!

First of all, that is super cute! It doesn't look too hard either! I might try something like that myself. It looks like they maybe sewed the ribbon onto the front of the pillow only. The numbers may have been from an embroider machine, though. I'm certainly not talented enough to do that with my sewing machine!

Do you have a pillow pattern? They have ring bearer ones for free on google if you look!

No I don't have a pillow pattern. The only thing I've done so far is try to find ribbon at craft stores. It's amazing how hard it is.

What if I got two pieces of cloth, got the ribbon sewed on & the numbers sewed on (or however) & then put the two pieces of cloth together, stuffed it, etc. I know some are done that way but I'm not sure this one can be done that way.

Ugh. Everytime I figure out how I want to do something I manage to hit a wall! LOL! (I'm also hitting a wall with my baskets & bouquet which I am also DIYing. *sigh*)

Here's a pattern, just for an example: http://www.ehow.com/how_17555_make-pillow-ring.html

I would probably wing it, because I'm impulsive like that, but yeah two pieces of cloth is the basic pattern. Pin it all in place and go for it, lol. Those numbers seem REALLY difficult if you don't have a machine to do it - my friend's mom had a fancy sewing machine that was programed to do that. Even getting number patterns might still look sloppy if you don't get it just right. What about iron on numbers?

And for ribbon, check out papermart.com if locals places aren't doing it for you. What craft stores did you look at? Joann's is great, Hobby Lobby, Michael's? Those are the main three here where I'm from. :)

Actually, here is a really good pattern page. Lol, I'm thinking I might work on mine this week. You've got me all interested in it!

Thanks a lot. Yeah, I checked hobby lobby, michael's & joann's. I don't know. I might have to look through again and look through walmart again. If I can find light blue iron on numbers that would be great. The only thing that sucks is I don't know how to sew let alone have a sewing machine! Guess I'll have to find someone.

I just realized I put ringer bearer instead of ring bearer. LOL! Oh boy.

For the numbers, it depends how fancy you want it...I vote for Iron on Numbers.

They also have ways to use iron on seam tape to make a pillow.
Good Luck!

if you can't find iron on numbers... find colored iron on patches... then print out the numbers in the style font you like.... trace the numbers on the iron on patch, cut out the numbers, and no sewing needed....you got iron on numbers!
