Cabo San Lucas vs. Riviera Maya?

Depends if you like swimming in the ocean.. Cabo has strong under currents (at all times of the year) which make most of its oceans unswimmable.

I have heard great things about both. I have only ever been to Riviera Maya.

Jessica is right. The water in riviera maya will be more of a turquoise and calmer than the water in Cabo. Also depends where you are flying out of. We are doing Riviera Maya/Cancun...it is only a 4-5 flight for us.

I have only been to Riviera Maya ... three times! It is wonderful there!

Cabo, if you want to get stabbed...

Rivera Maya has many more options, for Adult Only, All Inclusive Resorts, if that is what you are looking for. Most of the resorts in Cabo, are not All Inclusive, and in Cabo there are so many options

for dining out. Cabo has beautiful resorts, however most of the beaches are not swimmable.

I have been to Cabo twice and it was great! I stayed at Villa La Estancia on the Penthouse level and it was AMAZING. We had our own butler and he would bring up fruit, dessert, water etc. twice a day! Just don't go during spring break.... college kid city. LOL. But I always had a nice time, delicious food and nice time relaxing on the pool and beach. I definitely prefer Hawaii tho. If you want more info about Cabo let me know. My FH has been like 10 times. I have never been to Riviera Maya so I can't really say the differences!
