book/put down deposit on venue

well, since we decided not to buy the house, we are going ahead with the beach front bed and breakfast for our ceremony/reception. we had wanted joe's crab shack, but couldn't for the life of us, find a ceremony location! argh! so, i put down a deposit for the B&B, AND we get a discount on the rooms if family stay there, so i guess it's good for now...

That's great! If we didn't have such a large guest list we would choose something like a B&B or historic home.

thanks ;) it's coming out to be just under 1k for the ceremony and reception, and our room, plus the extra tables/chairs etc...and i just need to either cook ourselves or find a place to cater. but all the places that will actually cater down that far, charge an extra few hundred, or require a minimum amount of MONEY not people! plus, all the want to offer is hor d'ouerves or bbq...NOT what i want at all! oh well...me and the girls think maybe we can rent another house for the weekend, since it's about 2 hours from houston(wow, didn't know that at the beginning! but it's the only available spot!)...that way, anyone who wants, can stay at the BB, or at the house, plus, we can cook and easily take food over...
