Anyone have a tattoo of your FH or husband name.

I am getting one. It is going to be a locket with the key on a ribbon saying his name. I drew it up like 3 times but keep losing it so I can't post a pic. If you search the old forums for tattoos it will be there somewhere. Anyway, i figure that if he dies and my new husband has a real issue with it and I decide to fill the ribbon color in I could.

@Shawnee-I do not have a tattoo but do have a few designs in my head that I want! I do not see myself inking my FS's name on my body. What if we got a divorce? What if we never got married? There's a number of things that could go wrong and having a permanent reminder on my body could be very painful or very bittersweet.

Well then I could still fill the ribbon in to a solid color just like I said I could for if he dies and I remarry. It would just look like a regular locket tattoo that way.

I do understand your concern, however It was easy for me because our names are similar. And in worst case I could camouflage it. And that is something i have known people to do. if need be If you find a good artist you would never be able to tell.

I don't have a tatoo of his name however we have matching Tatoo's of a scripture in the bible that means a lot to us!

I have been married and divorced twice now so the only names I will have are that of my children. Right now I have an angel tattoo for my deceased daughter with her name. The next tattoo I get will be in honor of my son with his name. I will be getting a third with my soon-to-be step-daughter's name.

Well I got a tattoo of my daughter's father's name when I was 18. We split up when I was 22 and I'm stuck with his name unless I get it covered which it will look crazy or lazer surgery which cost about $1600.

I got my fs name tatted on me. I always said I would never, but regardless of if we break up or whatever, he will always have a very a special place in my heart. He transformed me in more ways than one and I can't speak for tomorrow, but today and yesterday he was mine.

Ahh the things I sporadically did in mah 20s. Shoot...I need a tat removal! Remember when it was hot to have paw prints? I have two on my left thigh and today, they seem pointless at best. I'm good with putting any other tats on me, including FH. (who has said he'd never do it either....eff him! LOL)

Me and tattoos not going to happen, but he has my name on him. I'm just not into them, and I didn't ask him, he wanted it. I suppose if we were to split, he could always cover it, but I think he's in it until death do us part.

I have a previous thread on this topic. But I will post mines again. =) I have FH's name on me and he has my name as well. He got my name first and then I got his. And he can't go anywhere anyway cause i told him I'd kill him first. lol. I am getting our wedding date under his name though.

@Zebra did it hurt where you got FH name on the inside of your wrist? I want to get one there but everyone says it hurts really bad because it's sensitive.

Yes, I have my hubby name on my left arm. He has my name in a rose on his fist.

I'm almost 30 and I have never had a tattoo so I don't see a reason to start now. I've always said I would never get a man's name tattooed on me anyway. My FH has 3 tattoos, but all of his have significant meanings behind them. I don't think he wants any more tattoos and I wouldn't ask him to get my name because I wouldn't get his. It's not that I don't think we are gonna last, it's just that I am not a big tattoo fan and plus I'm too old to be getting tattoos now.
