Aisle Decorations
So now that those darn lanterns have fallen through, I need aisle decorations. I was going to put some vases with peacock feathers coming out of them on the card table, cake table, ect, but now it looks like we're going to do the same thing for the centerpieces (speaking of which, can't figure out how many feathers per hurricane lamp). It would make sense to line the aisle with similar things, but wouldn't they stick out too far into the aisle? How do I get around this? Any other ideas? We're doing blue and green with a Mediterranean feel/peackock feathers.

Could you do vases of colored water, with floating candles? Then tie a ribbon around it with a peacock feather embellishment?

I was about to suggest something along the lines of analy's last comment. You can make little paper cones out of cool prints and ribbon embellishments and put peacock feathers in them.

just don't submerge the feathers or you will have a soggy mess!

What if we just did rose petals on the ground (on either side) with peacock feathers scattered among them? Or would that look weird for an indoor wedding?

Try it at home and see if you like the effect. What about bringing the colors of peacock feathers in with flowers and ribbon? Or tie bunches of feathers together that can be transferred to your centerpieces. I know that they aren't cheap so have them work double duty...

I found them for a pretty reasonable price, actually, and since the venue is providing everything else we need for the centerpieces, we can afford to spend a little more on the feathers. Right now it's looking like no decorations for the aisle. The altar will be decorated and the venue is pretty, so it's not like we have to distract away from anything. And the chairs are rounded on top, so there's nothing to attach anything to or hang something from, so that eliminates most aisle decor. Arg.

checkout this website http://www.save-on-crafts.com/peacock1.html
you could use 4 tulle stands on each side of the aisle, drape peacock colored tulle, and at each gather point bow tie some peacock feathers...or white tulle would be beautiful

if you dont want to use the peacock you can just use the feathers and remove the body.
