21 day fix?

Kasey, on August 15, 2014 at 3:45 PM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 12

With only 50 days until the wedding, I need to figure out something to do to keep myself in shape and able to fit into my tight dress without making it tighter. I've tried P90x3 and stuck with it for 2 months but got bored with it and now I have no motivation to do it because I've done the videos so many times. I am thinking about doing the 21 day fix. Has anyone tried it before? Does it work? What about the 24 day challenge? All advice is welcome! Smiley smile

I have not done it...I am using Shakeology and a few other programs but my beach body coach is using 21 day fix and has lost a ton. She loves it. Says it really makes her feel in total control =)

I have the 21 Day Fix, I use the workout videos almost everyday unless I go to the gym. I do follow the meal plan for the most part but I don't use the containers daily. The workouts are only a half hour but they are a real work out! I started it on 7/26 and am down 8 pounds. I don't drink shakeology with it, I eat clean instead.

Ok, let me start by saying I know diet pill and crash diets are horrible for you, but with that being said, I got my doc to prescribe me phentermine for a cycle. It's technically a diet pill, that gives you tons of energy and she had me take half in the morning for 2 weeks. You have to go on intervals, 2 weeks on 2 weeks off. I started with the mindset that I'd jump start my weight loss with healthy eating and routine gym visits to lose 10 pounds, and I did. I will say that it is a quick fix and you have to really keep up with everything but I loved it for I needed.

Thanks everyone for the advice. I think i will go ahead and try the 21 day fix, with only 47 days left I don't have many other options. I did do P90X3 and stuck to it everyday for 2 months then got really bored with it because you do the same workouts over a over. Maybe I just need something to new to get motivated again!

I did P90X a couple years ago and had great results, and recently did the 21 day fix, and loved it! I saw such great results I actually started coaching and if you stick with it (the nice thing is it's only 3 weeks) the outcome is great! If you have any more questions, I'd love to help you out!

Yeap, did it a month before the wedding to drop the last 5 pounds and actually dropped 7 lbs and 7.25 inches. Plus it reconnected me with childhood bffs also doing it. Not sure if I have a pic with me but will look in my phone. Love the program and started round 2 last week and already dropped another inch (weight is same but I'm toning.

Great!! thanks for all the feedback!! I will be purchasing it next week. Any advice on the best foods to eat in the plan? Does it come with something to tell you exactly what you should eat because I am clueless when it comes to that!

Yes, it comes with a guide that tells you what you should have in each container, pretty much nothing processed, lots of veggies. The key is to keep it simple (no fancy cooking needed), eat healthy and regularly. Oh, and of course, do the workouts even if you have to modify, just do it. After all, it is only 21 days ;-) you can do it.

Make the dressings that come in the book. We did the Balsamic Vinaigrette and Dijon Vinaigrette and they were AWESOME!! To the point we are going to bottle them and give them away as Christmas presents.

Have you checked out Fitness Blender? They have free online workouts but you can buy 8-week workout plans for $8. They also have a nutrition guide you can purchase pretty inexpensively. http://www.fitnessblender.com/

They actually are in the process of posting a free 5-day workout plan. I love these two and their videos!

Someone already mentioned it comes with a nutrition guide, but it also comes with all of the containers (included in your purchase of the workout DVDs). It's a color-coded systems (red for protein, etc.), so you don't have to count calories; if it fits in the container you can eat it. I'm going to be starting a challenge group shortly. If you're interested let me know!

Has anyone heard of the protein shake mix called "Visalus" ? It's sometimes known as "Body by V".

I have been on meds for a chronic illness and gained a lot of weight. I tried a bit of it that my FSIL gave me. It was good and I put fruit in it and soy milk.

I'm considering reordering but, would love to hear others experiences.

And just in case you're wondering...I cannot do a lot of weight bearing exercising and even swimming is iffy considering my disability.
