Seatng Chart help? ?? Template

Hi,
I am getting married in 64 days...wow. I work a ton so I order everything. I am trying to do a few things on my own to make it special.
I was thinking that making a seating chart would be a fun and unique idea. I will have about 310 people coming to the wedding.
Does anyone know of where I can find a good seating chart template? And with this many people, do you reccommend 1 or 2 charts?

I would reccommend 2 or 3 that you can set up in different locations to prevent clusters. Putting together a seating chart is not easy though and can get frustrating. You have to know how many tables you will have exactly & how many people at each table. Have fun with it though. Name your tables to match your theme instead of simply numbering. Come up with a unique way to display your chart, versus an easel with a chart. Use mirrors or fabric covered canvas that matches your colors.

You will want to base your chart on the amount of tables, and how many each table will seat, and most templates aren't that interactive. I would recommend using the Martha Stewart Weddings seating tools, it is much easier to use than other most others. This tool will make seating people at the best tables for them MUCH easier because it is more visual, once you know where you want people to sit I would suggest making the layout for your seating chart on you own or hiring a vendor to do it for you, then you just combine the information laid out in your initial seating plan with your chart. Don't get intimidated! Seating charts are easy once you have your plan done. If you do use more than one chart, I would recommend 2 or 3. And I would not organize it by table because you have so many guests and that makes it hard for them, it's simpler to use last names, for example:
S
Lisa Scott - Table 4
Mark Stevens - Table 2
Mary Sullivan - Table 12
or another alternative is to use place cards!

I think Martha Stewart Weddings had a seating planning tool which might be worth checking out. I use a computer program that imports guest list data from Excel. It may be worth it to use a local planner who offers this services, rather than buying a program for one use & spending all that time learning how to use it. At least give a call and see what the charge would be - it may be worth a few bucks more to give that job to someone else!

Definitely organize the names alphabetically- it makes it easier for people to find their names and cuts the congestion.
And just use as many sheets as you need to fit everyone.
