Question Modified: Color ideas for a Rock and Roll Wedding Theme

Some ideas i have are:
- a bouquet of black calla lilies
- VIP passes as invitations
- a vinyl record of our wedding song for guest to sign
- a lots of candles for decor
- cd's of wedding songs for favors, glow in the dark stars for kids
- concert tickets as place cards
- tables will be named after our favorites rock bands (Metallica, Kiss, Guns n' Roses, The Killers, Foo Fighters, ...)
- black dresses for my bridesmaids, converse for my groomsmen, no tuxedo jackets, black pants, black tie, white long sleeves shirt with suspenders
- there will be just 75 guest, so' i was thinking to use the tables in U shape ... good idea or not ?
- i want a good DJ (i think the theme deserve it) maybe a local rock band (i know a couple of friends) and i want the videos of our favorite rock songs to be showed on a screen
- maybe some karaoke or rock band to have fun ;)

That's what i have... what do you think ? I want it to be cool and glamorous, or rock and roll style elegant (lol) ... Ideas welcome

When my fiance and I started thinking about wedding ideas, we decided we wanted two different ones. One will be in our hometown with our family and it will be a hippy/fairytale wedding with bohemian stuff and the other would be in Vegas with a few of our close friends and would be a rockstar theme. The colors for that one were going to be a plum/royal purple and blood red (and black of course). So if you're wanting a little splash of color for the bridesmaids or flowers, I'd suggest dark purple or deep/dark red. Hope it helps.

I don't have any advice, but wanted to comment how much I liked your theme and ideas posted above! Great job! Sounds like it's going to be a great wedding, and very personalized to you, which is ALWAYS good! :) No cookie cutter weddings here! :)

Love your ideas so far. I would also try to use some lighting to give it a rock club look. You could wash the walls with some LED cans in a color that you like. Purple looks good on the walls, or you can do red. I've seen pink and black used for a "vintage" rock and roll theme as well. A mirror ball or other DJ type lights would add to the rock club feel while dancing.
Centerpieces could be tall vases of a few black calla lillies with floralytes in purple or red in the vase. The floralytes give that glowing club look as well and look elegant.
I like the long table or u shaped configuration. Just make sure that people can get to the dance floor easily since it sounds like the music and dancing are going to be the highlight of your wedding.
The cake could be something creative as well; a guitar, or a big vinyl record with your names and favorite song. Most cake decorators like doing these unusual cakes. Or do a traditional cake and also do a cool groom's cake. Good Luck!

The CD favors were a HUGE hit at our wedding! We are still giving out extra copies we made 5 years later. Sounds like you have some great ideas. I would probably pick a bright color to accent the black like hot pink or lime green. Good luck!

I design for Real Rock & Roll musicians all the time.
I would think of the location first.
If you want a real feel do great lighting in a club setting
Place the cake off to stage left and light the room with colorful gels and spots. Decorate the cake with a rock and roll bride and groom or do a groomscake ( see Ace of Cakes style) rock on tribute cake.
Your Black Calla Look might be a bit harsh. try Swarzenwalder Mini Callas these photograph black with deep purple to burgundy accents, very rock looking yet elegant!! Tie with velvet ribbons.
Glowing martini glasses can be used as favors and add to the club feel, these can be found at windy city novelties
I have some fun favors on my website as well as wedding flowers for inspirations.
Just remember that in 25 years ,will you still think the results were rockin fun, or too trendy.
A balance of elegance and fun will give you the feel.
