how much is the average cupcake cake
I have always wanted a cupcake Wedding cake instead of a regular cake since my nickname has always been the cupcake. I wanted to know how much they usually run price wise? Thanks!

I dont know how much they would run but I would suggest doing it yourself. Have a baking day with your bridesmaids like the day before or two days before the wedding. They cave cupcake stands at craft and baking stores like Michaels and they also have little decorations that you can put on top of them. Its a great way to spend a day with your friends and it can cut the cost by a HUGE amount!

Hello and congrats on your engagement! cupcake-cakes are definitly a few hundred and can be as expensive as a regular nice wedding cake- depending on where you get them from. I agree with the other post- you can make them yourself (with the assistance of bridal party), or you can find a local bakery that can make them for you... i don't know what area you reside in, but I have used Yummy Cupcakes in Burbank, CA for many events I have planned. Sprinkles Cupcakes are VERY overpriced. Also, depending on the budget and/or theme, you can have cupcake-cake centerpieces so it serves as centerpiece and dessert for the people at each table... if you want to save a buck.. lol. Hope I was helpful. Happy Planning!

Hello and congratulations on getting married!! Cupcake wedding cakes are very popular so they could run you alot of money. I chaged 1.75 -2.00 per cupcake. So it is afforable. Also you may want to think about getting a small 6 inch cake on top so you have they ceremonial cake to cut and save for later. Check out your local bakeries int he area and set up tastings to try some flavors. Also ask if they fill cupcakes. They are always yummier then just plain iced cupcakes.
You do not want to make your own cupcakes. Its to much work and to much stress right before your wedding. Its something that should be left to a professional. Enjoy your time with your family getting ready for your wedding. Cupcakes shouod never be baked an earier then the day before.

I would not make the cupcakes, like the last post said. Homemade cupcakes although they taste yummy are NEVER uniform in size, some come out flat others are lopsided & your hand would get very tired using a pastry bag to get the high look of a bakery cupcake. If anything I would buy the wilton cupcake stands & just order the cupcakes (like 200) from a bakery without saying they are for your wedding. Once you mention the word wedding the price goes up. Also ask for a discount since you're ordering a large number & see if you get one, it can't hurt to ask.
