There are lots of red flowers! You could do a mix of red flowers, so you could still have some roses and some other flowers to go along with it, and to make your boquet more formal you could have just red roses. You could try tulips, carnations, gerbera daisies, ive seen very pretty boquets with tulips and roses or carnations and roses. Also roses with the little white stephanotis are nice as well. Also if you dont want to break the bank, check into ordering flowers in bulk online and putting the boquets together yourself (thats what were doing) You get them like 3 days before and they sit and bloom w/in the 3 days and then you can put them together. It is also much cheaper. A website I looked into was Bigrose.com, they have many different colors and seem pretty reasonable. If you buy them in bulk its around 120$ for 100 roses. Depending on what color and kind you want. If you cant figure it out try searching wedding websites in their flowers or just search on google images! Good luck

In the fall you can bring in seasonal reds in foliage like Transparent Oak and Hypericum berries, great texture and color.
Red flowers of a different variety from roses can be Aranda orchids, Alstromeria, Gebera in Ferrari red, If Amaryllis is available these are gorgeous trumpet like flowers and also come in white.

You can also do Red Antheriums and tropical touches like red Ginger.
Antheriums can be a great option if designed in Ikebana style. 3 heart shaped blossoms and a great container have impact and are budget friendly.

hello, mini. there are lots of options for reds, particularly in the fall. to make your flowers a bit 'different', you might want to think about the accent flowers. Roses are a great red flower, and you can also consider red mokara orchids, red cymbidium orchid blooms, red amaryllis (would be great in a centerpiece), antique red hydrangea, and red berries (hypericum or rose hips, for instance). Cool accent flowers, in addition to berries, would include fern fronds, and there are some really pretty dark red callas available as well. if you're upfront with your florist, she should be able to work with you to best figure out a way to stay in your budget and provide you with beautiful flowers and designs. best wishes!

red gerberas have always been a personal favorite of mine.

some places actually dye flowers too but i don't know how much that would cost.

Congratulations for your engagement! I will suggest to go with the black bacara roses and white roses, if you don't want to spend much money I will suggest to get them on line. I will get my flowers from fiftyflowers.com I think they have many varieties of flowers and the prices are good.

HI! Since you want to do something different how about ostrich feather centerpieces!! They are available in red white and black color. You can have them full or if you just want a few in a lighted vase to get more in your budget would be a great idea!! Congrats!
