Usually, I prefer to let your beauty and emotion tell the story. We can discuss any special treatments at your consultation.
Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
All of them! From shooting in dark churches to shooting on cloudy, stormy beaches I am well-versed in lots of techniques to ensure your day is photographed beautifully! It's all in knowing the art and science of photography and how to make your equipment work for you.
Is your media preference film or digital?
Digital
How many photographers do you work with?
It depends on the collection you choose. I am the sole photographer for many weddings and use another professional should the couple choose a collection that includes a 2nd photographer. Depending on the venue, I may bring an non-photographic assistant.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Yes.
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
Usually, I only accept one booking per weekend. In rare instances, I may be open to shooting 2 events in a weekend.
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
As a member of several professional photographic associations, I maintain relationships with other pros and would be able to provide a professional replacement in the unlikely event I was unable to photograph your wedding.
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
I shoot with professional-level Nikon camera bodies, pro level lenses, external light sources, reflectors and other elements that may prove useful in photographing your wedding.
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
Of course! I always take back up bodies, lenses, lights, CF cards and batteries.
Do you charge hourly or full day?
My collections are based upon wedding day coverage (up to 8 hours)and extra hours are available should you need them.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
None! If I need to sneak away to the ladies room it is when the bride is eating or otherwise involved.
Do you charge for travel?
Not for weddings in metro Phoenix. Travel fees outside metro Phoenix may apply.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
I do my best to have a few preview images on my blog within 3 days of the wedding and final images are in your private online gallery within 3 weeks. Of course, during the busy season this may be a bit longer but I communicate with my couples so they know exactly what to expect.
In what format are the initial proofs offered?
In a private online gallery.
How long can the client keep the proofs?
The private gallery remains online for 30 days.
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
All couples receive a DVD with personal usage rights for printing and web posting.
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
Yes. My couples love seeing themselves on the web and in local publications!
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
Every Crescendo Collection comes with a high-resolution DVD of final images and a personal usage license.
Will images be available for viewing online?
Yes.
What kind of albums do you offer?
I offer modern flushmount and coffee table albums. Both are very high quality and custom ordered. Your choice depends on your personal style.
When will the client get the final album?
Each album is designed by hand and usually takes about 10-14 weeks (at the longest) from the time you approve the layout.
