Do you offer private tastings or open house tastings?
All of my tastings are private tastings. And, family and friends are always welcome!
What are your tasting hours?
I meet for tastings Monday through Friday 9:00 am - 9:00 pm
Describe how you price, such as by slice or by tier, for your cakes?
Cakes are priced per slice and are dependent on complexity of the design
Do you offer custom cakes, or do you work with pre-designed styles?
All cakes can be custom designed. However, a lot of brides already have fallen in love with a specific cake and we can replicate that cake
What (if any) special ingredients, such as fresh fruits or farm-fresh butter, do you use in your cakes?
I use all fresh ingredients butter, heavy cream, chocolate and will use fresh fruit upon request
On average, how far in advance of the event do you prepare the cake?
All cakes are made the week of the wedding
How many cakes do you schedule for a typical weekend?
4-5 wedding cakes per weekend
Will you work with the client's florist to garnish the cake?
Yes, I will work with the florist to finish decorating the cake with the selected flowers
What (if any) cake accessories, such as a cake stand or cake cutter, do you rent out?
We rent out silver and gold cake plateaus and glass cake stands
Do you offer delivery? If yes, how much is your average delivery fee?
Average delivery prices to downtown Chicago are $35 - $40 and delivery to Chicago suburbs averages between $50 - $100
