About

A2Z MUSIC goes the extra mile to make your event special!

Without exception, your choice of entertainment will have a significant impact on your special day! A2Z Music Factory has been in business for 12 very wonderful and successful years! We make everything easy for our customers- We promise you!

Not everyone can successfully DJ a party and especially a wedding! Many people do not have the technical skill, announcing skills, music knowledge, or motivation to do a good job. Furthermore, most folks don’t have the savvy necessary to be sensitive to the needs of an audience and respond to them!

We will serve as an emcee, event coordinator, formal announcer, facilitator, lighting and sound technician, event planner, as well as provide a team dedicated to making your day an enormous success!

Note the following 5 features that set us apart from our competitors:

COMPLETE EVENT COORDINATION- from the first interview to the last song!

GUARANTEED PRICING- You will know upfront what your package pricing will be so there are no surprises to spoil your special day! One price includes everything you need! We do not charge extra for lights, travel, set-up, or amount of guests!

EXTENDED HOURS OPTION- How do you know you need an extra hour until its time? A2Z Music Factory is $125.00 per each extra hour. Just tell us to stay if you need more time and we would be glad to accommodate your request!

MUSIC - We play a nice mix of light jazz, classical, and love songs at a comfortable volume during dinner. Afterwards, we play a mix of popular hits tailored to your preferences and we take requests throughout the evening to keep things running smoothly.

FLEXIBLE DEPOSIT POLICY- We only require a small (non-refundable) deposit of $300 to book your special day!

COMPLETE LIGHT SHOW WITH EVERY SHOW- We bring lights to every event. We perform the same high quality, professional show, which is available to everyone!

John from A2Z is definitely your wedding savior! He is one of the most caring DJ's when it comes to his clients. He does light shows, slide shows, personal planning, and a number of additional services between him and his wife Carrie. There are not too many Dj companies I know that would take the time out to invest so much into one couples wedding. I give them 5 stars and a full recommendation!
A friend and among the finest Wedding Entertainers in the Northern VA area. He has great passion for providing you with a high level of Wedding Entertainment.

How much time do you usually need to set up? Do you require that the site or client provide a table for you to set up on?
Preparation time can vary depending on the wedding package chosen and the number of set ups required (i.e. ceremony and reception). The average set up takes about 2 hours, we like to leave extra time to help the bride and groom with any last minute tasks. Usually the reception site provides the DJ with two 6 foot white skirted tables, but I always carry them in my DJ trailer if needed.

Do you have any extra space requirements?
A2Z Music Factory setup does not require extra space, most venues have adequate space for the DJ setup and special effects lighting.

A2Z emcees and coordinates the whole reception from beginning to end. We believe the focus of the wedding reception should be on the bride and groom, not the DJ. A2Z makes the announcements appropriately, motivates the crowd to get on the dance floor. At a typical reception we perform announcements for introductions, toasts, prayers, special dances, and cake cutting

Tips and Advice
Below are a few tips that I have come up with based on my years of experience:

Quality entertainment is not cheap.  Brides can spend up to $30,000 dollars on a wedding reception and then try to cut costs on wedding entertainment. This often results in them being disappointed after the reception and wishing they had focused more of their budget on securing higher quality entertainment.  Nobody will notice a few less flowers, but they will remember a DJ that can’t pronounce names properly or plays music with offensive lyrics.  Your wedding reception is one of the most important days of your life, you want the reception to be something to remember, unique in your own personal way.

It is absolutely essential that you meet with the actual DJ performing your wedding at least once before your reception.

Find a DJ that meets your personal style, your wedding is a very special event, so you want a DJ that will mesh well with your crowd demographics.

Unfortunately not all DJ’s are created equal and professional equipment does not guarantee a well executed reception.

Hiring a friend to DJ your wedding is a bad idea, if he is not a professional.  There is no substitute for experience when it comes to your wedding reception.

Music is only one component of the services that a quality wedding entertainer provides, look for a DJ who will also coordinate the flow of the reception schedule and not just play music.

Lighting can add a nice ambiance to the wedding reception and later on in the evening it can provide extra energy to help pack the dance floor.  Ask your potiental DJ if he provides any special effects lighting and what experience he has using light to enhance the mood of the wedding reception.

Does your DJ do custom bride and groom GOBO’s ?(See an example of one in my slideshow)   This is a nice effect to personalize the wedding reception.

Ask your DJ what additional services they provide?  (Bride and Groom Photomontage,  Custom Gobo Development,  Bear toss)

Does your DJ belong to any professional trade organization?  (ADJA - American Disk Jockey Association, NAME - National Association of Mobile Entertainers)

How does your DJ stay up on the latest trends in the mobile entertainment industry?  (Attend Conferences, Read Magazines)

Will there be backup equipment on site in case of an equipment failure, ask can you give me an example of when you have had to use your back up equipment?  Most seasoned DJ’s will have at least one story of how they had to use back up equipment when an emergency occured.

Can your DJ recommend other high quality professional vendors that he has worked with in the past and will provide you with excepitional service.

Please contact me if you any further questions regarding the above content.

Best of luck planning your reception
