Describe your DJ style:
Up-beat, interactive, performance oriented and FUN, but never forgetting that the day is always about YOU.
What is your usual attire?
Normally a tux, unless otherwise specified.
If you do not have one of the songs pre-requested by the client, do you require that they provide it?
NEVER! Any song that a client wants, if I don't have it, I ask "Why don't I?", and I procure it myself.
How many other DJs do you work with?
It's all me. I keep it simple.
What is the minimum amount of time you will DJ for?
4 hours.
Is the client able to meet the DJ before booking?
It's insisted upon.
Do you specialize in any ethnic or international events?
Anyone is perfectly welcome to provide CDs / music from anywhere in the world, as long as it's approved by the client.
What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service?
All Wedding packages come with basic, elegant dance-area lighting/FX, but Club-Style is always available to those who want MORE than the norm.
How much time do you usually need to set up? Do you require that the site or client provide a table for you to set up on?
Normally 2 hours; Another hour for each remote area. A table for each area may be needed.
Do you usually emcee the event or talk between songs?
Only what is planned, necessary, and to get folks dancing.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
Most professional DJ / Entertainers (including myself) make it a policy not be seen eating on the job (just like any vocation).
Will you arrange for recorded music to play during your breaks?
If and when needed.
What is your backup plan in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
ALWAYS; As a member of the American Disc Jockey Association, there will always be someone (God-forbid) to step in (with your full pre-approval, of course)
What is your overtime rate?
$75 per half hour.
Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge?
Never.
