About
Sew ’N Sew Bridal and Tuxedo was opened in Andover, NJ in 2002. It was opened after the owner saw a need for quality alterations in the weddings. The notoriety of their services grew and with it, the move to Lafayette, where a larger store could accommodate the selling of bridal gowns and all of the wedding party attire. The service to the customers is most important, and has gained them the honor of "the knot" Best of Weddings for 2008 and 2009, and Wedding Wire’s" Bride’s Choice Award" for 2009.

Additional Questions and Answers
I have a budget. How do I get that "perfect dress" and not exceed that price point?
We work with all kinds of budgets, and have many plans to help you get your dream dress. Please visit our store and we can work on how you can do this.

What other expenses can I expect after I purchase my dress?
We at Sew ’N Sew know that most shops do not inform you that there will be a alteration for the majority of brides. If you do not budget for this, the price can be a suprise. Our alteration are free when you purchase a full priced wedding dress from us. There are no hidden fees. The price you see on the dress, is what you can budget for, from start to delivery of your dress. Because the salesgirl is a  trained seamstress, she will get your dress in the closest size to you, benefiting both you and the amount of work we must do to make the dress fit properly.

What do they mean when they say a "Full Service Bridal Salon"?

Make sure you understand that the purchase of the dress is just a fraction of what a shop should be doing for you. If the shop does not have it’s own in house seamstress, you are at the mercy of a seamstress that cannot help you with the cost of the alteration. THE SHOP THAT SOLD YOU THE DRESS, SHOULD BE HELPING YOU WITH THE COST TO MAKE THE DRESS FIT PROPERLY! THEY HAVE MADE A PROFIT ON THE SALE AND SHOULD BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR THE SERVICE THAT FOLLOWS. The shop that does not supply you with this, and sends you outside their shop is  not a full service Bridal salon.

Is it safe to buy on the internet?

I would say that sometimes you can save and get a dress from the internet. But before you do this, know what you are in for. First, most bridal gowns are special orders and cannot be returned. You will have to fiqure out what your size is, something that most shops will do for you, and are the experts at. You are on your own, going this route. Aside form the fact you do not know the people you are buying from and whether they will even get your dress, this is a scary thing to do on your special day. Then you will be looking for someone to alter the dress. The seamstress that does this work, has to cover her cost in preforming this work ( mininum of 10 hours labor on a wedding gown), so the cost of the alteration can exceed the price you paid for the dress. You will not get a bag for the gown, something most shops supply for free when you purchase from them. You will pay for shipping cost, which most shops do for free. So are you saving? Ask yourself that after adding theses cost up, before you go this route. We at Sew ’N Sew will meet any internet price (on any manufacture that we carry) that you will find and prove to us. We call this our "No Frills Package". You will be responsible for selecting a size, and shipping cost. We will not do the alteration, nor supply the bag or hanger, or pressing of the gown for the day of your wedding. How much are you really saving...in money and stress?

Tips and Advice
We always suggest that you find a full service bridal salon, that can do your alterations in store. You do not want your dress dragged to some unknown location for the alteration.
