About
The Best stories ever told, Cinderella, Snow White, The Ten Commandments, but the Greatest Story ever told, is YOUR STORY! and we want to capture it for you, and your generations to come, and to share them with friends and family.

Hello everyone, my name is Gus Anthony, aka G. Anthony - I am a graphic artist and creative art director by trade, a marketing specialist by choice and a professional photographer by passion all in the last 20 years. When Combining all three skills together, you get the utmost creative and well respected images you can imagine in both personal and commercial outputs.  I am a digital photographer from the Island of Guam, an Island between Hawaii and Australia, and now in the Greater Houston Area. Over the last 2 years, I have completed a number of projects and exhibitions, and now I am currently working on a personal project, and that is to publish my collection of my own images I have taken of "Everything".

Through my photography, I use the images that I have captured to address the simplest of forms in photographing human subjects, of course at the same time, addressing the issues of culture, since I am a Pacific Islander and Asian half and half I know my style, and will remain to be steadfast in what I believe in and its principals. My work that I had chosen to display here on WeddingWire, are just a few of my creative thoughts put into action, resulting in a clean and nicely organized imagery.

I work by private request. It varies and I rarely do TFP or TFCD, but if there is a connection with the client, or model, and I truly feel it’s mutually beneficial for both of us and our portfolios... I might just make an exception.  I use digital for my daily operations, and there is nothing wrong with that.  I prefer digital because of its fast turn-around time for me and my clientèles.  My photographs of your wedding can also be placed in a nicely designed Digital printed Album.  Please address this subject if desired.  Albums usually takes an additional 2 to 3 weeks for delivery.

I am a photographer with the eye of an Art Director, along with the knowledge of a Graphic Designer - making my choice in selecting images crutial in doing the job right and meeting your expectations.

Frequently Asked Questions for Photography
Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?
Ah the Special Techniques - well that has to be kept a secret... Many photographers and videographers I have dealt with have seen the images I have take, its their response when they see the finished product. Basically I don't do color corrections, because my colors are always right on the tone, and I never have to do images enhancing. I just do one thing and thats it.

Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
I have a lot of experience with many types of lighting, but I truly love natural lighting... nothing beats my 200 Billion dollar light "The Sun" when it comes to getting the most out of my subjects.

Is your media preference film or digital?
Don't get me wrong - I do film photography till today but in Studio, and of course it is changing as the days go by, I work with digital all the time out-doors or on wedding assignment - its because of the quick time references when I need to take that shot a few times in a few frames that counts... digital is great for capturing the seconds that count.

How many photographers do you work with?
I can work with a lot of photographers just as long as none of us are caught in the images hahahaha... i highly recommend having two photographers one senior and the other is the assistant, that way they can catch every angle at the same time in a different locale... poise...

Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Yes! it is always important for me to be at every wedding that is booked with Photo by Jasangas - because I feel I need the connection with the bride if I want to present the perfect images... Photographers and the couples build this bond... believe it or not, they talk to photographers more about the issues they keep inside on the day of the wedding... ah nothing about the groom, but more on the way they look, and so on...

Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
No - I never do two weddings in a day, one wedding a day is a personal relationship for me... its just me, I dont want to split my talent in two, just because of the money - I want to give my all, to one client on that one special day... and that is that... never will I do two weddings in one day... But I have a wedding the next following day and I apply the same principal, one wedding per day...

Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
Yes - But in most cases, if I'm not feeling to well, I have my assistant and a fellow colleague whom I trust, come and cover the wedding event for me while I am there, directing them on what to look for, and what type of creative shots I am after for that great Story... Im still there... no matter what.

What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
I always have on hand my camera, my flash and extra batteries... that is a must... I don't ever want to run out of batteries in the middle of an indoors wedding... I don't bring my tripod because it gets in the way of my creativity.

Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
Yes, its a norm for all photographers to bring a spare or backup. Sometimes I forget - that's why I have an assistant

Do you charge hourly or full day?
That all depends on the budget and the request of the couple... In all honesty - everyone has a wedding designed to what they want, many times I have requests for hourly - when package deals make a more attractive deal.

Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?
Yes - if we charge hourly, and the time runs over the contract hour, we do charge an additional per hour, without and I repeat without discount... You signed the contract... for hourly, and was advised of the package deal...

What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
ONE! 30 min, and TWO 15 minute breaks

Do you charge for travel?
Well depending on the location and so on, if it is out of state, yes we charge for air-fare... but in the past few weddings I had, couples pay for just the round trip ticket, and a day in a motel or hotel.. and that's about it, most of the time they have someone pick us up to and from... but yes we do charge for travel and mainly its the cost of the air-fare and hotel...

How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
proofs are viewed online usually 48 hours after the wedding... but this past year or two I notice the bride and groom login 5 to 10 days after the wedding - well I know the honeymoon was right after the ceremony and reception - so yes proofs are done online and prints are ordered online too... well thats for the couples who dont want the cd and just to purchase prints... as for CD's the couples get the CD 48 hours after the ceremony.

In what format are the initial proofs offered?
initial proofs are given via website.

How long can the client keep the proofs?
proofs are available for 48 hours

Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
Yes and so does the couple... its a shared copyright with the intention that I can use images in my website, portfolio and marketing promotions and campaigns

Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
Yes and so does the couples

Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
It is a normal practice for Photo By Jasangas to provide the digital files or negatives to the couple.

Will images be available for viewing online?
Yes, all images are available for viewing online

What kind of albums do you offer?
The Albums offered, are what we call Digital Albums, no its not a screened Book with a monitor to see images... its the way its made that its done by digital technology, giving the album the nice finishing touch to a flushed mounted images on each page... with multi images on each page that TELLS THE STORY...

When will the client get the final album?
Albums are usually the last thing to arrive once its sent out after the wedding day, it takes about 3 weeks to get back and about 4 additional days for me to make sure each page are done correctly.
