Endorsements
Direct Sound Entertainment has been Providing Quality Entertainment Since 1979. They Can Make All your Musical Needs Happen. Knight Photo & Video is proud to endorse Direct Sound Entertainment.
I've been fortunate enough to work directly with Mike at an event in Las Vegas, and know him as a leader in the industry. As a member of a community DJ networking site, he continually comes up with innovative and valuable concepts and ideas to share with other DJ's. His attention to detail and desire to "give every last drop of effort" is unheard of in the industry (That, coming from a competitor is very rare!). I wholeheartedly endorse him and am sure you can't find a better entertainer for your wedding! I might say: "Venue... $5000; wedding dress... $2000; food... $6000; Mikey Mike as your DJ... priceless"!
This DJ Is The BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As a fellow DJ, I can honestly say that Mike at Direct Sound is an inspiration with the beautiful backdrops he creates for every room he plays. Were it not for the fact that he's an incredibly generous and talented DJ, I might resent how good he is! All I know is, he raised the bar for how to give a bride her fairytale wedding, and I know that anyone who includes him in their big day will have a day they'll NEVER forget - for all the right reasons!

Tips and Advice
When a bride wants a green wedding, nothing saves the environment like the LED lighting we use at Direct Sound Wedding DJ & Decor Lighting Service. LED lighting is the energy efficient alternative to conventional high energy consuming lighting. With low wattage LED lights that have high light output and up to 100000-hour LED life span, we are reducing the carbon footprint and making the right choice environmentally.

By using LED lighting and computer technology, your DJ/light designer can transform any room into a beautiful and distinctive masterpiece. Most brides are now looking for an entertainment company that can offer a great MC/DJ to command the crowd and a lighting designer all in one. Today's bride is getting away from the "two speakers and some flashy lights" kind of a look and moving to a more elegant feel. This is a hard concept for most DJ's to overcome because of their Night Club background and years of doing the same old thing. If you find the right entertainment/lighting service, your memorable wedding receptions will be produced with LED low voltage Wash and Up-Lighting and eye catching Gobo projection.

Here's how it works. Gobo projection is a small computer cut die that goes in front of the light, giving the light the ability to shoot different patterns or pictures on the floor, walls or ceiling such as hearts, stars, even their initials. Also, most of these lights are what they call DMX, a fancy way to say computer controlled. This enables the light to have its own personality giving the DJ the ability to take control over the parameters of the light, to mix and match colors, change the look of the room and even move the lights around the room at will. In the past, with conventional high energy consuming lighting, not only would need to put a colored gel over it to achieve a certain color, if you wanted multiple colors you would have to use even more high energy consuming lighting until you achieved the look you wanted. This caused a lot of heat in the room making for an uncomfortable atmosphere and a higher power draw. This is not true with LED fixtures. One LED light has the ability to produce rich palates of color created by mixing the red, green and blue LEDs in the same fixture creating different color combinations with no increase of power consumption. This enables the designer to match your wedding colors perfectly and be able to change the look at any time with the integration of the computer control.

It takes a lot of pre-planning and programming to run some of the advanced features but it's well worth the price for the look achieved. Brides can expect to pay between $1200 and $4500 depending on how elaborate they want to go with LED lights for an average wedding and a high-end bride can expect to spend a bit more. Even with thirty LED lighting effects, the entire production will pull less power than two standard conventional DJ lighting fixtures. LED's will give the look and feel of an incredible wedding with dazzling colors and eye catching designs while you do your part to help save energy and keep reducing the carbon footprint. LED's are the right choice environmentally for all brides. Check out DJ's and wedding décor lighting designers who use LED lighting to achieve this effect in your area like we do at Direct Sound Wedding DJ & Decor Lighting Service.

Bride’s in Spin & Puke mode! And no she is not pregnant-
Just when you thought you had it all figured out, brides have a new worry “Décor Lighting” Wedding Reception Halls, a great source to find a great wedding DJ and Lighting service, but don’t just ask the manager ask a few of the workers. The waitresses and bartenders that work the rooms are more in tuned with the DJ and are a good source that can give you an accurate opinion of the night’s performance and if the DJ can keep the crowd moving or if the atmosphere is elegant or looks like a seine from dark hole. Most brides want a lighting package that makes the room look amazing without giving you a headache or blinding you every time you turn around. A lighting package that goes around the room with the warm colors of the wedding, giving your wedding that finished look without turning your dinner into a disco. Remember you are there all night, make it soothing for your ears and your eyes. Now a days you need a lighting package that can “transform “ from a spectacular Grand Entrance to a warm Dinner hour all the way to that Night Club look for late night dancing. Most DJ and lighting services will only bring lights that are automatic with no control over the color or movement. So if you have wedding set in deep reds or a beautiful blue and the DJ has no control you will only get lighting with a full spectrum of colors and most of the time set to the “Spin & Puke” mode. Look for a DJ that uses intelligent lighting and knows how to use it and the lighting. Most DJ’s companies offer intelligent lighting, but most likely its set to the auto mode. In some cases they may even charging you for DMX programming, when in fact they have no control over the light at except to turn it on and off. During your consultation ask to see unedited video and pictures of a night’s performance. The unedited video lets you see what really happened and not a prefabricated look set to make them look better. This way you can see if the lighting matches the moment and the sound is right for the time. Don’t get me wrong everyone has different tastes for music and choices for wedding colors but if keep that in mind, you will see how that DJ will work or not work for you. For great wedding planning tips or a great Wedding DJ and Décor Lighting Specialist take a look at www.directsound.com they can put it all together for you and make your wedding simply amazing. If you have had a Décor lighting experience please share. M. Susca Direct Sound Wedding DJ & Décor Lighting Service

Bride Starts Snapping Heads At Her Wedding!
Create the “Wow Effect” at your next wedding or corporate function. When a guest walks into the room the first thing you want them to say is “Wow” this place is cool. I have set-up many rooms and have had many reactions from guests but the thing I hear the most is “Wow”! If you strive to achieve this at all of your events your businesses will thrive. The snap of one’s head looking around the room trying to take it all in is amazing every time I see it. It can be done with lighting, drapery, signs or even plants placed to achieve a jungle or oasis look and feel or even something simple as live fish swimming at the table for a center piece to create a tropical feel that the guests can take home and remember you for a long time to come. Group a few small ideas together and soon your room will take on the feel and you will to hear that amazing sound “Wow”! Tell me some simple ways you achieve the “Wow “ effect to help you and your clients get to the common goal an amazing wedding /party.-M.Susca  Direct Sound Wedding DJ & Décor Lighting Service

The Question was raised are brides still spending money?
Clients are still spending, but if they put out a dollar they want the absolute best for their money. I try to educate them on how I can help them save money throughout their wedding. Like if they want the best photographer and he charges by hour, I show her how to plan all of the formalities so the photographer get the best shots out of the way quick so he can go and there is a few hundred dollars saved. Now they can spend on getting even a better photographer or more on the entertainment, flowers or add a few more up-lights to spice up the room or highlight the trees or outside decor. I think they want the best bang for the buck. Or instead of doing a big banquet facility they are going for a nice property. This way they can bring in most of their own venders and that sometimes adds up to big savings. But I feel in this case they need a good bridal coordinator to put that all together. I try to put together a small package that will cost the bride X but if she went with a higher-end package instead of spending xxxx she will only have to spend XXX. Why? If I’m already there its only a bit more work to setup few more things and if they want the whole nine yards, yes it’s going to cost more but I can save them more, the more they get. It also will help sell my business in the long run, if the room looks amazing other than just so so. If I set up an amazing room and am able to get pictures and video to show the next client, it makes it that much easier for you to be the one getting the call because your top of mind with the venue, photographer, caterer and the last bridal coordinator because you were the one setting up the room with the “Wow Factor”. There is no better referral then that, now that the phone just rang the hard part is over. It is much easer to sell a client on a great referral from great wedding venders and so much easier up sell them with the pictures and video I just gave a discount to the last client. I didn’t say free but work with your clients and it will all come flowing back to you and the venders you network with.
