Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?
We offer black-and-white, sepia-tone, etc. We have several photoshop techniques we can use to enhance the images per request.
Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
All of the Perry Aslyn team goes thru extensive training. We are well-versed in all lighting situations. You never know what kind of lighting situation you will find yourself in. This is why we also bring a lighting assistant so all of the images are of studio quality.
Is your media preference film or digital?
We shoot all digital.
How many photographers do you work with?
On all of our weddings we provide all day photography with two shooters and a lighting assistant.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
We have two teams of photographers. Brandon and Lindsey or Eddy and Ashley will photograph your event. Whichever team you meet with and book will be at your wedding.
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
Each team of photographers only book one wedding per day. Perry Aslyn offers all day photography with all of our collections so we are only able to block off for one wedding per day.
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
Yes, we have trained several photographers specifically for these kind of situations.
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
Three cameras, four flashes, several flashcards, video lights, etc.
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
Yes.
Do you charge hourly or full day?
Our collections include print credit, wedding album, etc. All day coverage is complimentary.
Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?
We are all day wedding photographers.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
Just the meal break.
Do you charge for travel?
Yes, except for our New York bride and grooms.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
The images are ready to view four weeks after the wedding date. We retouch all of our images. So, everything that you see will have skin smoothed, blemishes removed, etc.
In what format are the initial proofs offered?
The images are first made viewable with a DVD slideshow and an online gallery.
How long can the client keep the proofs?
The DVD slideshow is given to the bride and groom. The online gallery stays up for six months.
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
We do offer the wedding day digital negatives. If the collection the bride and groom choose does not include the negatives then they are available for purchase a la carte.
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
Yes, unless specifically asked not to.
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
The digital rights are available in some of our collections. If the bride and groom chooses a collection that doesn't include the rights then they can purchase the negatives a la cart.
Will images be available for viewing online?
Yes.
What kind of albums do you offer?
We offer flush-mount and matted gallery fine-art albums. All of the designing is done in-house.
When will the client get the final album?
8-12 weeks after you approve the design.
