Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?
We can do post editing work of most any kind to the images of your choice. Anything from converting them to B&W, or Sepia, to coloring in only a small portion of the image.
Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
We have worked outside and inside in a wide range of lighting situations. We have the most advanced cameras on the market to date and know how to use them. We can give you a soft warm glow image next to a fireplace or a haunted feeling in the middle of a stand of aspens.
Is your media preference film or digital?
We shoot digital. Since both film and digital are now processed on the same machine and digital is much more cost effective, it allows us to keep our prices competitive without losing quality.
How many photographers do you work with?
My soon to be wife and myself are the two photographers that make up Captured Kiss. We do know several other wonderful photographers if we needed more than two at one time.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Absolutely!
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
Never more than one wedding a day!
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
Again, if something were to happen to is, we do know several other wonderful photographers who could fill in.
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
We use 2 Nikon D3's, along with that are the flash's, extra batteries, and a multiple number of lenses (all professional glass). We also have strobes availabel if we think we need them for the venue.
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
Absolutely!
Do you charge hourly or full day?
We have both rates...
Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?
We can shoot overtime and charge $125 per hour.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
We are always shooting. During the wedding meal we will take turns so you always have photo coverage.
Do you charge for travel?
We charge for coverage if the wedding takes place outside of the Denver/Boulder/Co. Springs area.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
Within two weeks max, generally within a week during the slower season.
In what format are the initial proofs offered?
We can post them online within a couple of days and have a CD ready for the couple within a week.
How long can the client keep the proofs?
The proofs are yours to keep...
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
Yes, however we do allow you to print copies for personal use and albums. We do not give permission to sell the images for profit or commercial use without our permission.
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
Yes! Only for self-promotion and not for sale to stock companies.
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
Yes
Will images be available for viewing online?
Yes
What kind of albums do you offer?
We have several to choose from, depending on how much of your studio credit you wish to spend on an album. We primarily work with Renaissance Albums (www.renaissancealbums.com) and Zook Binders (www.zookbinders.com), but we can get albums from many different places.
When will the client get the final album?
Totally depends on what you order.
