Yes I am, I love to do outdoor weddings where you are closer to nature.

Tips and Advice

What will a Wedding Coordinator do for me?

In addition to making your dream wedding come true, within your budget and perhaps saving you from costly mistakes, a coordinator will save you time.  With today’s hectic lifestyles, many newly engaged couples; even with the help of family members and close friends, do not have the time for the planning of every detail of their dream wedding.

Will a coordinator over rule my decisions?

A professional wedding coordinator will work with you to handle as much or as little of your wedding as you wish. It is YOUR wedding, Lyonheart Weddings and Events are here to help you have the wedding of your dreams.

Can I not plan my wedding myself?

Yes, you can plan your wedding. It is YOUR wedding, but most brides today work 40+ hours a week or they are in school full time.  This is no longer the age of our mothers and grandmothers, where you married out of high school or college.  Many brides today are older, working full time jobs, and are already established with a household of their own. The reason why these brides choose to hire Lyonheart Weddings and Events is because we can do all the footwork and detailed planning for you.  You give us an image and we will create the masterpiece we like to call your dream wedding.

Is a contract necessary?

Yes. As with any other professional service a contract is required to help you the client. In a contract or a letter of agreement you will find the important information such as deposits, payments, cancelation policy, and what Lyonheart Weddings and Events will do for you. A contract helps to protect both you the client and us the service providers.

How do I know my coordinator is the right one for me?

That is something that is decided when you meet your coordinator. As wedding coordinators we at Lyonheart Weddings and Events become very close to our clients. You as the bride are letting us in on a very special occasion that you share with family and close friends. If you do not feel comfortable with your wedding coordinator then you should discuss what is making you uncomfortable. It could be something as simple as you wanting more say in the planning or that your coordinator does not understand what you want.  We at Lyonheart Weddings and Events are a little choosey when it comes to our brides.  We want our brides to feel comfortable with us planning their wedding.  This is why we have an initial meeting to make sure that all personalities blend.  The last thing you want is to work with someone you do not like, let alone pay them.  If that is the case between you the client and us the service provider, then that is fine.  We want you to have the day of your dreams, even if it means referring you to another coordinator.

What do Wedding Coordinators charge?

That depends upon what the coordinator feels is the right price for their services.  Some charge a percentage of your wedding budget, some work at an hourly rate, and some a fixed fee.  We at Lyonheart Weddings and Events have packages that you can choose from ranging from $500 to $2500.  We can also customize any of our packages to add or subtract services from the package itself.  Keep in mind that by hiring Lyonheart Weddings and Events means that we are a part of your wedding budget. Many of our brides save money by hiring us to do all the work for them by calling vendors, driving to different venue locations to take pictures, and so forth.  The good news is that all the running around and planning is in the price of the package.  We do not charge you for mileage or any other miscellaneous fees that may spring up. Besides, Molly loves to plan weddings and has been doing this as a hobby for over ten years.

How do I know that my Wedding Coordinator will hire reputable vendors?

Lyonheart Weddings and Events have preferred vendors that we work with for a reason, because we know these vendors will provide the very best for our clients. With over ten years of experience in planning weddings we know who is a quality vendor and who is not.  Also, we spend time speaking with new vendors to make sure that we have a good feeling from them.  The last thing Lyonheart Weddings and Events will do is provide a vendor who is not professional in their services and manners. Lyonheart Weddings and Events will also attend each bridal expo, open house, bridal tea, or any other vendor related event so that we may speak face to face with those vendors and strengthen the coordinator/vendor relationship so that it benefits you, our client.

How did Lyonheart Weddings and Events come to be?

Molly is our main coordinator and she had a very bad experience with her first wedding.  She was not allowed to pick the color of the flowers, music selection, food, or make any other decisions regarding her wedding.  She was not even allowed to choose her dress. As a bride you know that these are things that you dream about and plan as a little girl.  Since Molly did not get her dream wedding she made a vow to herself that she would not let it happen to any of her friends.  From that came Molly’s love of wedding planning. She has planned just about 300 weddings and helped friends and friends of friends with their planning as a hobby.  It was during the planning of her second wedding that her husband, Joshua, suggested that she become a certified wedding coordinator.  And thus, Lyonheart Weddings and Events was born. Since being in business, Joshua has helped Molly on a few weddings and they will both agree that the hardest wedding they had to coordinate was their own, since no one would take them seriously. They have thrown together quick backyard weddings with just a few days notice and Molly has planned and organized weddings with a guest list of over 500 people.  The Lyons, Joshua and Molly, put their hearts into each wedding they plan, and so they came up with the name of Lyonheart Weddings and Events.
