Frequently Asked Questions for Photography
Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?
Digital enhancements, BW, Sepia and color pop.

Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
Different equipment handles different lighting situations. For example, flash may be used to enhance an already beautiful natural light to add catchlights in the eyes or to fill in some shadows. Candlelight and other low light situations call for fast lenses that are able to use the existing light.

Is your media preference film or digital?
Both Film and Digital

Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Yes.

Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
No more than one wedding a day.

Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
Being in close relations with other photographers in the area allows us to always have someone available in the event that we can't make it.

What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
Professional lenses, and cameras, along with travel lighting equipment and always backup equipment.

Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
Yes. Each photographer carries two cameras, and there is also an extra set of equipment in the car.

Do you charge hourly or full day?
Hourly.

Do you charge for travel?
There is a travel fee to islands outside of Oahu to compensate the cost of airfare, hotel and rental car.

How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
3 weeks

Flushmount leather albums along with magazine type albums.

Tips and Advice
- Get to know your photographer. Many photographers share the same experience as well as the same style, but personality also plays a big part in getting great pictures.

- Cheap photographers are great, but find someone with experience in weddings. Although there are many types of photography (fashion, architecture, etc..) the details of a wedding are so many that a lot of photographers miss the little (but just as important) details.

- Find the style that you like. Tradiitonal, photojournalistic, natural editing, highly photoshopped editing.

- Ask to see an entire wedding. It is easy to pick a few outstanding pictures to show off, but you want to see what your photographer can do throughout the whole day.

-If you need help, find a coordinator that is experienced in weddings. Try not to do any work on your wedding day. Delegate all of the duties to friends and families and most important, have fun at your wedding.
