Tips and Advice
- Order your invitations 6 months before your wedding. If you are having you wedding during a holiday season, or invited many people from across country, consider save-the-date cards sent 4-6 months in advance.
- Order at least 10 extra invitations, for last minute add ons and keepsakes.
- Put a number inconspicuously on the back of each response card that corresponds with the guest’s name on a master list. If a guest forgets to put their name on the card, You can figure out who it came from.
- Proof, Proof, Proof!
- Invitations should be mailed out 6 weeks before your wedding and up to 8 weeks for summer and holiday weddings, or if you have many out of town guests.
- Take a completely assembled invitation to the Post Office to determine the correct postage before buying your stamps.
- Deliver your invitations to the Post Office. Request that they be hand canceled. This means your invitations will not go through a machine and will minimize damage to your invitations.
