All tastings are private, individual tastings and are completely complimentary for clients who need cakes that are 3-tiers or larger (our smallest 3-tiered cake serves 62). For smaller guest lists, tastings can be arranged for a $50 fee.

Describe how you price, such as by slice or by tier, for your cakes?
Wedding cakes are priced by the slice, designs are priced separately.
Does the price include the top tier of the cake?
No, we recommend serving your top tier and coming back for a fresh cake for your one-year anniversary. We offer an anniversary discount, and I am happy to provide an anniversary tier that is the same design and flavor as your wedding cake!
Do you offer custom cakes, or do you work with pre-designed styles?
I work with each client to create a custom design that perfectly compliments their personal style and wedding day.
What (if any) special ingredients, such as fresh fruits or farm-fresh butter, do you use in your cakes?
All our cakes are made from scratch and contain NO trans-fats, NO hydrogenated oils, and NO cholesterol. We use evaporated cane juice to sweeten our cake instead of refined, white sugar.
On average, how far in advance of the event do you prepare the cake?
1 day before
How many cakes do you schedule for a typical weekend?
My maximum is 4, the average is 2
Will you work with the client's florist to garnish the cake?
Yes. But if you decide to use fresh flowers, I recommend organic, pesticide-free or edibles (like nasturtiums and some types of orchids). Your florist can help you choose fresh flowers that are appropriate and food safe.
Alternatively, I specialize in hand made sugar flowers to avoid the potential dangers of using fresh flowers on your cake!
What (if any) cake accessories, such as a cake stand or cake cutter, do you rent out?
All cake plates and separators are included with the cake and do not need to be returned.
Do you offer delivery? If yes, how much is your average delivery fee?
We do provide delivery to DC and the surrounding Metro Area. All delivery fees are based on distance and include set-up. See our website for a guide to delivery fees.
