  My husband and I loved working with Wes and Liz! They made us feel comfortable for our engagement shoot and our wedding day pictures, but mostly we just had fun working with them! They were extremely professional and went above and beyond to make sure each picture was picture! They captured some shots of the wedding that I will cherish forever. We hope to work them again in the future. :D

  Wes and Liz know what they're doing and will do everything they can to make you happy. They are worth every penny, and they were a big part of making my wedding everything I wanted it to be. The pictures are beautiful, artistic, and priceless.

  Wes and Liz are awesome! I proposed to my girlfriend while on vacation in March 2015, and YSBU did more than capture the moment. We are from Minnesota, so I needed to plan the proposal 1,700 miles away - keep in mind I had never been to St Pete Beach before. I was having a tough time figuring out where I would pop the question, and finding a qualified photographer in a place I had never been. To add to that, I am a videographer by trade so having a videographer hiding at the proposal location was a given. THANKFULLY I FOUND YOUR STORY BY US! They are not only amazing photographers, but also proposal planners :) !
  
  Now, I knew Liz and Wes were not videographers, but I asked if one of them could record video while the other shot photographs. They were open to the idea and agreed. Video & Photo - ✓.
  
  I went through their portfolio and selected a few locations I liked for the proposal, we exchanged a few emails before finding the perfect place. I knew what the location looked like, but had no idea how to get there (and hit my "mark" on the beach). Wes took time to go to the location and recoded video, to show me where to walk and stop so we ended up in front of the cameras. Location - ✓.
  
  The proposal went off without a hitch - she had no idea. Wes and Liz were like 007 agents hiding on the beach - I knew they were there and didn't notice them! (seriously, check this out: http://www.weddingsmn.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/ysbu.jpg)
  
  Wes and Liz went above and beyond! The day after the proposal we did an engagement photo session with Wes and Liz and the images are fantastic. If you are looking for a photographer, stop looking and book Wes and Liz. I am forever thankful to you both.

  Wes & Liz were absolutely fantastic!! We found them through a recommendation from a family friend. They offered a very fair price for engagement photos and wedding photos. It really takes going to their website: youstorybyus.com or their Facebook page to truly grasp their talent. I can’t tell you how many photography sites I looked at that offered the exact same photos: very staged, very boring. Wes and Liz stand out with their camera angles, ability to capture the light in the right ways, and artistic eye. They don’t believe in the “put your arm here, and you look there, and freeze!” They encourage you to whisper sweet nothings, smile at your future spouse, and REALLY get into the moment. This may not sound like a big deal, but this is how real model photo shoots are done (so I hear).
  
  They are also just delightful people. We had so many laughs with them on our wedding day, and they really knew how to keep us on track and calm despite the excitement and fast pace of the wedding day. I am beyond excited to see the photos from our wedding. People are STILL talking about how we have the most exotic and magnificent engagement pictures they’ve ever seen. We were swimming in the ocean during the most incredible sunset. Who has engagement photos like that?!
  
  I’ve already recommended Wes & Liz to a colleague, and after one call he was on board. Their photos are also beautiful.

  Hiring Your Story By Us to do our photography was EASILY the best decision we made for our wedding. We absolutely loved their style and when we initially contacted them, they sent us a link with previous weddings they had shot at our venue. We were totally hooked. We met them for engagement pictures which were part of our photography package. I was really nervous because I don’t typically like pictures of myself. They were both so much fun, so easy going, and took all the pressure off. Once we got the engagement photos back, we were completely blown away. They captured the most gorgeous shots, neat angles, beautiful sunset, and made my husband and I look fantastic! I felt a huge weight of nervousness lifted off me because I knew the wedding pictures would be great if they could work such magic with the engagement shots. I started referring to them as our magicians instead of our photographers. Our wedding pictures exceeded all my hopes! It actually got a little awkward showing them off to people because everyone kept calling them the best wedding pictures they had ever seen (even our married friends)! The pictures were truly outstanding; we got all the typical posed family portraits in addition to really cool couples photos, awesome action photos, and beautiful moments that happened all throughout the day. Wes and Liz were so easy to work with, in fact, they really saved me with their timeline advice and coordinated flawlessly with our other vendors. Wes and Liz are lucky that my husband and I aren’t local to Florida or else they would never get rid of us, we would be trying to be their new best friends! They really were a wonderful addition to our day, never pushy, open to changes in the schedule and very flexible throughout the whole day. I give them the highest possible recommendation. Go ahead and book them now, you will be SO glad you did!!!

  Wes and Liz are a true joy to work with. They are so unique and their special relationship really complements their work. It presents itself well in the variety and style of photographs they produce. They don't offer pictures of your wedding…they create works of art! Preserving special memories of your wedding day is by far the most important investment you can make. I highly recommend them!

  I knew immediately after reading Wes and Liz's About Us on their website and their reviews on Wedding Wire that this was the couple that I desperately needed to photograph our wedding. They are beyond amazing. I basically stalked them for a week trying to book them (they were at a photography conference at the time I made my initial inquiry) but I am so glad I did because they've been fantastic. From our engagement shoot to the wedding itself, Wes and Liz have just been an incredible part of our team. They were able to make my husband(!) and I look like we weren't incredibly awkward in front of the camera (which...believe me, I was) and their photography style is just...breathtaking. They're easy-going, relaxed and relaxing (both are important, in my opinion), and I truly felt like they were two friends of mine doing me a favor and not like I was just another bride at another wedding just getting the same old photos taken. I cannot say enough wonderful things about them. I honestly want them to photograph all my major events in life just so I can pretend they're my friends. That's how awesome they are. Don't even look at any other photographers. Stick with Your Story By Us and you will be so glad and grateful you did.

  If I can rate them a million stars I would! They were the BEST decision I made for my wedding day. I originally put a deposit on a different photographer and was not happy with that photographers service or photography skills once we received our engagement pictures. I contacted Wes and luckily he was available on our wedding day. Him and his wife Liz really took the stress off from day 1 by knowing no matter what, my pictures will be AMAZING. Our engagement pics look incredible as well. Ladies if I can give you any advice, get a great dress and a great photographer!!! Your story by us is definitely the best decision you will make!!! I cant wait to book our rock the dress/trash the dress photo session next! I cant get enough of them!!

This doesn't just include our parents (who think everything we do is the best ever), but friends who weren't invited to the wedding, acquaintances, and even strangers who have been shown by a friend. They made every photo look like it was straight out of a magazine.
  
  And it's not exactly as if my wife and I are models who are used to taking these kind of photos. Our engagement shoot was the first time we had even taken these type of photos together. But Wes and Liz made us feel instantly comfortable. They're fun, easy to work with, and great at bringing out genuine emotion. That helped to get photos that captured our love for each other, without it looking staged.
  
  We used Wes and Liz for our engagement shoot, the wedding, and trash the dress session, all of which left us with incredible photographs we'll cherish forever. And boy, were there a lot of them. They didn't miss a single moment. And every picture was delivered in both color and black and white.
  
  They didn't just do an amazing job for us. We were following their blog for months before the wedding, and every single couple the photographed, they knocked it out of the park.   Wes and Liz are so much fun to work with and do an absolutely amazing job. They photographed our engagement session and our wedding. We got married last weekend and obviously haven't gotten to see those photos yet, but it was easy and fun to work with them the day-of. They were professional and easy-going. They were flexible with the timeline and attune to what we wanted. Simply cannot wait to see how they turn out! The engagement session turned out wonderful.   When we chose a destination wedding I decided that I would just be grateful to have 10 great photos of us. I found Your Story By Us off of the internet. I had compared their photos with other destination photographers and decided that if they could post so many good pictures I would take the chance and go with them. Instead I have too many amazing photos that I’m going to need more wall space.
  
  Wes and Liz are true professionals. They had great suggestions on an area that might be a better location on the beach, they knew the timeframes for the sunset and they were constantly double-checking the weather. They met with us the day before the wedding to find out what WE wanted that day. They were such a pleasure to work with and have a great/calm attitude. We thought it was going to rain the day of the wedding and they responded, “we are ready to go along with whatever you decide. If it rains we have our rain gear.”
  
  They even pick up on the small details. Liz will get up and move a trash can if it’s in the frame. These are things I would have never noticed.
  
  My husband was dreading the post ceremony photo session but Wes and Liz didn’t make it feel stuffy and structured. They made it be our time together. We were just hanging out and having fun. Even when we were dancing I never realized that the entire time they were taking photos of all our friends and family until I saw the photos.
  
  I remember talking to them on the phone. I gave them pictures of other wedding pictures I liked. They helped me figure out that what I liked about those other pictures where the moments they caught of a couple happy together. And that is exactly what they captured on my wedding day.
  
  I really wanted to have great photos to look back on and that is exactly what I have for a lifetime thanks to Wes and Liz. I highly recommend Your Story By Us.

  Although we haven't received our wedding photos back just yet, we loved our engagement shoot and Wes and Liz are so great to work with. I had meet with another photographer prior to booking with Wes and Liz but we totally clicked with Wes and Liz and their work is amazing! So much fun to work with!
