No words do Wendy's work justice. At the recommendation of my wedding planner (Cindy Shanholtz - Effortless Events), I scheduled a trial with Wendy. I am someone who usually outs myself last, so my skin care regime was seriously lacking when I first visited Wendy. I had a lot if insecurities about my appearance - she listened and tackled every single one by recommending god products and by doing skin treatments to address problem areas. Wendy helped develop a routine in the months leading up to the wedding. I followed the routine and am thrilled with the results. Following her advice meant great skin on my wedding day. As for the wedding day makeup, absolutely stunning for myself, my bridesmaids and my mom. Wendy made us look and feel beautiful. I am not an overly confident person when it comes to appearance, and on that day, I KNEW I looked great! Thank you Wendy!

Wendy Woodside is a true professional and extremely talented at accentuating your natural beauty for your wedding day. When we met for consultations she always had my best interests in mind and worked *with* me rather than pile on makeup that she thought was best. She was there with me before the ceremony and actually helped clean off chairs after it rained for an outdoor ceremony! She was completely there for me and my, my bridesmaid's, and my mother's makeup looked amazing. I'm not a heavy makeup girl, so I was nervous about wedding day makeup, but Wendy did a fabulous job and I felt beautiful and confident for my big day!

Wendy did a fantastic job with my makeup for my wedding! I loved how she made me, my bridal party, and my family look and feel on the day of my wedding. She listened to the wants and needs of each girl and was able to make everyone look and feel beautiful. Everyone was thrilled with their makeup and even the girls who weren't planning on having their makeup done, decided on the spot they wanted Wendy to do their makeup as well once they saw how amazing everyone else looked. I have recommended Wendy to many of my friends and family and will continue to do so. I know how stressful and weary brides and bridesmaids can be when it comes to paying to have their makeup done. She is worth every penny and I wouldn't settle for anything less after having Wendy do my makeup. I will continue to see her for products and facials. Not only did I love how she made me look for my wedding day, I appreciate the time she took during my trial to help me learn about my skin and what I can do to make it the best it can be. Wendy was absolutely amazing! She made me feel prettier than I ever have before. She uses light weight make-up that lasts all day and night. Wendy spent a lot of time with me before the wedding making sure I was taking care of my face properly. This really paid off for the wedding. She is so kind and you definitely know that all she wants is to make your big day perfect.

When planning a wedding there are so many things to consider - the dress, the venue, the menu, the flowers! At first, I thought of makeup as just another difficult decision. Wendy was the first person I met up with to discuss makeup. It turned out she was my only visit. Upon meeting Wendy she understood the makeup look I was going for right away. It did not look caked-on or overly heavy and it lasted all day. Most of my bridal party decided to get their makeup done as well, and they all looked beautiful! Wendy came to my hotel the day of the wedding at 5:30 am and was on-time and high energy! She got straight to work and even offered spur of the moment brow tweezing for those of us who needed it. I did feel a bit pressured to book the all-day service but decided to go with it anyway. I had a noon wedding and reception that didn't begin until later in the evening. In the end, I think it was a wise choice to go with the all-day service and I would definitely recommend this to other brides especially if you have an early ceremony. Her pricing is competitive with other high-end makeup vendors in the area and she will even come to you for services or make-up trials if you desire. She was easily able to accommodate all the tricky desires of my bridesmaids and did so with confidence. I also liked that she had experience working with my photographer, Jai Girard, as she understood what makeup would look best with the lighting that Jai uses. Overall I was very satisfied with my makeup. It looked absolutely beautiful and this is certainly an important part of the wedding day. I will always look back fondly on my wedding pictures and I owe this in part to Wendy's beautiful work.

I chose to do a trial with Wendy after seeing how natural, but polished, her brides looked on her website. My first trial didn't turn out quite as I would have liked (it was a little heavier than I was used to), but I had enough confidence in Wendy that I did a second trial, which turned out perfectly. Everything came together on the big day. I wouldn't have changed anything about my makeup. She also made my outdoorsy mother look completely glamorous and made my maid of honor, a girl who probably doesn't even own any lipstick, look like a goddess.

When I asked my bridesmaids and the other ladies who were getting ready with us that day if they were interested in makeup, most said no because of the cost, but after watching Wendy work, people kept changing their minds!

Wendy is AMAZING!!! She did my make-up for my wedding on May 28,2011 and I couldn’t have been more happy! My make-up lasted from morning to night, through all my joyful tears and dancing all night long. I am very picky especially when it comes to make-up so when I found Wendy I was ecstatic! Her technique and talent with make-up is excellent. She is personable, outgoing and very reliable. She not only did a fantastic job on my make-up but she worked with me to get my skin clear, soft and healthy for my big day. She does it all, make-up, facials and even waxing! She is incredible.

I never would've believed it had I not had this happen to me personally. I have gotten my makeup done several times before, and for some reason -- it's never worked out, and they've made me look either too done up and makeup-ee or not enough and I look like a white powder puff ready to be put in a coffin. So when my cousin Dina (Dina No. 1) told me about this fabulous makeup artist named Wendy Woodside, I was skeptical and thought, "Okay, okay...I'll give her a try for YOU, but I'm not making any promises."

Ladies (and gents), she is worth every single penny because what you are going to get is star treatment and Hollywood results -- I'm not kidding. And the best part about Wendy is -- she CARES. She genuinely cares about her clients and wants them to be happy, but she also will be honest about what she recommends. She knows her business!!!

She did my makeup for my wedding day, this past March 5, 2011, and my mom's and my sister-in-law's -- WOW. I danced and danced and danced all night -- was sweating and panting. I thought, "I better check my makeup!!" I NEVER NEEDED TO TOUCH UP A THING!!!!! The makeup stayed as perfectly as when she first put it on!!!! I would have never believed it -- never!!!! I did not touch my face ALL DAY AND ALL NIGHT!!!!!!

And if you're still skeptical, listen to this. I even had my friends' HUSBANDS commenting on my makeup and telling me that it looked so flawless and natural!!!!! Everyone asked who did my makeup because it just looked that perfect and that beautiful on my face. Wendy is the epitome of an artist. It's truly ART what she does and she's the absolute best at it!!!

Spectacular! I cried and cried because I was soo happy on the wedding day and my make-up was still perfect and lasted all night long. I flew Wendy to Cabo San Lucas for my destination wedding and she took such great care of me, my mother, and the bridal party. Wendy is a one of a kind high energy, positive, talented, professional, and creative make up artist. I could not have asked for a better person to make my wedding weekend of events truly memorable. 5 Stars all the way!!!

Pick Wendy. Call her immediately. She was AMAZING! I was hesitant to hire a makeup artist for myself + bridesmaids initially because of cost concerns but let me tell you it was WORTH EVERY PENNY because our day was so un-stressful because of her and everyone looked GORGEOUS.

She was prompt and delightful and made each girl (all of us with different skin tones and complexions) look fantastic. Everyone felt great about the work she did on them.

I am going to continue to use Wendy for skin care and for special occasion makeup as she is available. She also did my makeup before my engagement shoot which came out beautifully.

WENDY IS THE BEST!

I knew I was the worst bride for waiting last minute to find a make-up and hair artist for my Reception, but she was so accomodating and made me feel so comfortable. She not only found me a hair stylist for the Reception, but she gave me a relaxing facial and created amazing custom make-up for me.
I have been turned away from all of the top make-up counters because they could not find the right colors to match my skin tone. She found the correct combination to create my color and my entire look. It was perfect. The day of my Reception, she was professional and a perfectionist. My sisters and I do not have the words to thank Wendy! She made us feel beautiful! She is the full package (massages, make-up, etc) and I would hire her for any future event and I have already highly recommended her to others.

Wendy did the makeup for 4 bridesmaids, the bride and MOB. Everyone's makeup looked absolutely beautiful - she had the group looking amazing. Wendy took time with each girl while still remaining on our timeline. She provided the Bride and MOB with facials during the weeks before the wedding to ensure our skin was the best it could be. Wendy was professional, prompt, and extremely talented. I would recommend Wendy City Faces without hesitation - it was a great experience and Wendy was great to work with!

Wendy did all of the makeup for my daughter's wedding, and it was fabulous!! All 6 bridesmaids, myself(the mother of the bride) and my daughter, the bride, looked wonderful--like themselves, but our BEST selves!! We were sooo pleased with everything, and Wendy went to the site of the ceremony, which was outside at Morton's Arborteum, and kept us all looking 100%. Loved, loved, loved, the makeup!! Prior to the wedding, my daughter had several facials with Wendy, which helped clear up her skin and had it glowing by the time of wedding. I had a facial after the wedding with Wendy, which was a very relaxing experience. I would not hesitiate to recommend her!!

Wendy is just the best! I'm 47 and just got married for the first time and am one of those people who hates to have fuss and attention on themselves. Wendy walked me through the process, put me at ease, helped get my skin in good shape before the big day and in general made the whole process light and fun. I had no idea how important having professional makeup done was and am very, very happy that I put my trust in her very skilled hands as the pictures show me looking like myself but with the volume turned up just a bit. I could not be happier with her services; she made myself and the five ladies in my wedding party look fabulous and was able to handle skin tones ranging from Asian to Irish with ease. Everyone looked amazing!
