Waldenwoods was absolutely BEAUTIFUL and the day turned out to be perfect, everything we had hoped for and more. The ceremony on the lake was very destination-esque! Everyone commented all throughout the night how beautiful the location was, and we would have to agree. We were helped throughout the day, the staff was very polite and helpful when asked but we had hoped for a little more direction as the time went on. We felt throughout the 14 months before we booked the ceremony we had very little help with the little questions you have about rules and such. They contacted us when bill payments were due, which was nice, and we were overall happy with the way the wedding was, but you would have just hoped for a little more responsiveness with the amount of money you were paying for the wedding day.

We were recently married at Waldenwoods and had an even more perfect day than we could have imagined. Every couple envisions their day, but to have a day that surpasses that is a true dream come true. From the first day we toured we knew that Waldenwoods was the place for us. Terri and her staff do an exceptional job of working with couples, but more importantly they really care and want to make sure your day is perfect. Throughout the planning, the day of and even the day after when we held a good-bye breakfast for our stay over guests, Terri and her staff were there attending to every detail and making sure that everyone had a wonderful time. Weeks later our guests are still talking about the amazing time they had and what an exceptional place Waldenwoods is. God bless everyone at Waldenwoods for making this bride's dreams come true!

Waldonwoods was a beautiful place for my ceremony and reception. It was absolutely picture perfect and so many people have asked me where I got married after seeing the photos. My only issue was in the few weeks before the wedding, where I felt I was treated terribly. Two weeks before my planned rehearsal, I was asked to move it from the Friday before my Saturday wedding to either Thursday or Saturday morning! Since most of our wedding party, including parents, was coming to town Friday morning I didn't want to move the rehearsal day. The reason? The director there needed a day off since she wouldn't have one for 2 weeks if I didn't move my rehearsal! I booked my wedding over a year in advance and didn't think I should move my rehearsal because they didn't plan ahead. They also refused to allow another staff member to stay on the grounds for my rehearsal instead of the director because they didn't want to pay her overtime. With all that the wedding cost us, it was offensive for them to worry about paying one or two hours of overtime pay. I had a few other issues with the place which were minor. All in all, I'd still recommend it. Despite the troubles, once my rehearsal started it was perfect service from there on out. The food was great, the bar service was wonderful, and I was very happy I'd picked Waldenwoods. We got to get married on a beautiful lake, my wedding party could spend the night in the lodge there, and we were able to have an outdoor cocktail hour with a bonfire and s'mores. People were outside all night enjoying the beautiful place. I loved that about it. Also, I used the bridal room to get ready in and it was lovely to see my guests arriving and get pampered right there on site with my bridal party and the moms.

Thank you SO SO SO much for making our fairy tale come true. From the planning to the execution everything was fantastic. The organization and cooperation from everyton was outstanding. Our day was PERFECT!! The location is gorgeous the food was fabulous the staff was friendly. It was an amazing weekend!!

Waldenwoods is a lovely place to get married especially with the reception hall and the lake out front. However, I had major difficulties with with some behind the scenes work. Although it was promised to us that there would be no one on the lake during our ceremony, there was a fishing boat. There were also other people in our professional pictures because someone they got through the imaginary employee standing there. My mom had to frequently remind the staff to fill the coffee pots throughout the evening, I never received the cake that I requested, and most frustrating, we never received contact from Waldenwoods leading up to the wedding. We had to contact them for our final details meeting. No one ever offered to help us or check in with us during our decorating time either. When I had a question, I had to waste my time going in search of them. I also had a problem with a vendor later that night and since the wedding coordinator had disappeared by then (which I had no clue she was going to do), a guest had to take care of the problem. When confronted, Waldenwoods takes no responsibility for this. They ask for constructive criticism, but they certainly do not take it well. The coordinator fought me tooth and nail on all my complaints. I also was misquoted by Waldenwoods and we needed to come up with an additional $5,000 before the wedding as well which was extremely difficult and stressful for us considering we had arranged our budget to last over a year. $5,000 is a pretty significant sum of money to come up with in a week! I would not recommend Waldenwood's staff to anyone, but the venue does have beautiful features.

Waldenwoods was all around good. They seemed really organized there.
There were a few things that could have been better. The setting was beautiful and the reception venue was really nice. The bridal room, although given to me at a discounted price, was absolutely hot, my hair was straight by the time the ceremony started.
The o'devours were cold by the time everyone got inside after the ceremony was over. The buffet style food was not too hot. And our top of our cake was placed in a box, no indication that there was cake in there, had fallen to one side of the box. And other pieces or clumps of the cake were placed in a container in a messy way.
Everyone (employees) we all very nice and welcoming but there were just a few gliches.

When I think back on my wedding day, the memory is ruined at the thought of the hassle Waldenwoods put me and my husband through. We LOVED the location and the venue is beautiful. We gave a deposit and then realized four months before the wedding that they misquoted us by $5000.00!!! So you can imagine coming up with an additional $5000.00 on top of everything we were already saving. We had to call and schedule our own final consult and their excuse was that they were understaffed therefore they were behind. This is unacceptable. When you are spending a large portion of your annual income on one evening that rests in the hands of a rude manager. The reception was great even with the mediocre food. The following day I received a call from Waldenwoods informing me that someone had spilled candle wax on the floor and it would cost $250.00 to clean which was fine. 80 days later they emailed us to let us know that it would now cost $450.00. Taking into consideration the number of events that had taken place after my wedding this request was absolutely ridiculous. I would NEVER EVER EVER recommend Waldenwoods to anyone.

Beautiful, amazing hall with spectacular lake front views and perfect inside!!! Will never forget and everyone else wont either! Everyone commented how beautiful and different it was from your traditional hall. Love it! A little pricey, but well worth it!

Waldenwoods was a great place to host our wedding and bridal shower. The site is very beautiful and it is a great place to take beautiful outdoor wedding photos. The site is very unique compared to other local banquet centers. Also, the food at Waldenwoods is amazing and very well prepared. I would recommend Waldenwoods to any future brides.

All my guest said it was the most beautiful and unique ceremony and reception site they had ever been to. The staff went above and beyond and the food was outstanding.

They were very helpful. We only had about 6 months from the day we picked our wedding date until the big day. They provided us with all of the information that we needed to make our day the best day possible. They provided us with the information for the officiant and also the company to contact for the rental items we needed to get. We would recommend them to anyone. It's beautiful there, too. We were married overlooking the lake and we had our reception inside in their banquet hall. It was just amazing!
