I'm really not a Wal-Mart kind of gal, and I probably hadn't shopped there in about 6 months. So I went in about a week before my destination wedding to look for a camera case. I left there spending about $80, and ended up finding the perfect paper mache boxes for my bridesmaid gifts, clearance summer clothes for the beach that I knew I'd only wear once or twice, candles for the reception, and all kinds of things I needed and found there for cheap! If you have a clean well-kept store in your area, give it a chance!
Do not forget about walmart when you are searching for things for your wedding! dont be snotty about it, just go in there and you will be so surprised with the things they have that you need! last minute things and wedding shower things and bach party things. cheap and to the point. spend the big bucks on the reception food, and your honeymoon, save money where ever you can!!!!
If you have the capabilities at home to print your own invitiations, and the wedding is small enough, I say it's a great idea. We saved lots of money, and our invitations were gorgeous. Most people had no idea we had done our own. We printed the invites, the RSVP's and the response cards.
